In reply to: [EcoCoded] There’s no delete button?PS: I should say, I just went to adjust/delete my rating– which, to be transparent, was submitted with a kind of fiery misplaced indignation– but my review had already been deleted. Which, I feel like, is a kind of a questionable pathway to get to the right outcome. Or maybe the real lesson here is my own discovery that I am, by nature, a suspicious person? So I guess there’s a growth opportunity today for everyone.

In reply to: [EcoCoded] There’s no delete button?I appreciate the suggestions– but it looks like something weird(er) is going on. EcoCoded is not the active theme, and it still can’t be deleted. Perhaps this is because a sister theme (BeSustainable) is active? Here’s what I mean.
I suppose I could delete it via FTP, though now I’m concerned there’s some psychic link between the theme I want to delete and the one I’m using– so I’m reluctant to mess with either.
Anyway… any ideas?

In reply to: Image Hotlink Banned – Back-End ProblemsI know I’m late to the party, but I’m now having the same issue! Here’s what it looks like. I tried the Health Check app as Steve Stern suggested, and that does indeed make the thing go away… but I can’t just leave it in Troubleshooting mode in perpetuity, because it also disables plugins that are essential to the site’s functioning, like Nextgen Gallery. When I disable Troubleshooting mode, and manually disable every plugin– it returns, like an untreated STD.
But since switching to the Twenty Nineteen theme also makes it go away… the malicious code’s got to be somewhere in the theme I’m using (Lensa)*, yes? I’m tempted to just throw up my hands and redesign the site, but A) I like the site! and B) I feel like that lets the bad guys win. Any idea where I could hunt for the culprit? Acrackin’s suggestion wasn’t specific enough for my novice brain.
* to be fair, Lensa’s now pretty old & neglected…

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms by MailMunch] Conflict with another pluginThat’s it! Worked beautifully. There is now nothing I don’t love about MailMunch. Thank you!

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Decrease the video header heightI’d also be interested in hearing if anyone had (other) ideas about how to adjust the height of the video header…

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms by MailMunch] Conflict with another pluginI can’t edit the original post, or I’d add: this seems to be a conflict with cache plugins in general, as the same disappearance happens when I use WP Super Cache. (And the Mailmunch box returns when I disable it.)

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] Fatal error when trying to deactivate the pluginI can’t give you any technical details, but basically, what happened was: I did a fresh install of WP, installed a bunch of plugins including CC’s, and whenever I clicked on a post, page, or “add new,” it would take me to a totally blank page. This was on Twenty Seventeen. When I deactivated the plugin (deactivation wasn’t an issue on this site), things went back to normal.

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] CC plugin 1.1.1 breaks websiteWell, it broke my website, too, so maybe I can chip in: in my case, it prevented me from accessing/editing/creating any pages or posts from my dashboard. I’m using Twenty Seventeen on 4.7. I really wanted this to work, too.
Edit: a guy with more tech knowledge than I suggested “it kind of sounds like Constant Contact is expecting the site to have an SSL certificate and it is not finding one.”- This reply was modified 8 years, 2 months ago by dmcohen.

In reply to: [Constant Contact Forms] broke my siteOkay, I’ll start a support thread with the fatal error. And I don’t begrudge y’all wanting to use PHP 5.4 or higher. But I just kind of want the thing to work, with minimal thought or effort on my part, you know? So I’m going to see if third parties plugins can offer what I’m looking for….

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Making the featured image clickableIt works– thank you hugely! One question: will this code work if I employ it the same way on other sites built with Twenty Seventeen? I know so little PHP that I don’t even really know what I’m looking at here….

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] Making the featured image clickableSure: here’s one.
You are a magician! Or a very knowledgeable and generous problem-solver. One or the other. (Thank you! It worked beautifully– exactly what I was hoping to do.)
Thanks for the quick response, Kathryn. I added the CSS in the Customizer editor, and it did remove the header (while leaving it alone on the front page)… but it also removed the menu, too. Navigating away from the front page now leaves you feeling a little marooned….
(But I feel like this is close!)
Yes, for sure. That’s like putting on your seatbelt before you start the car. I’m wondering if anyone can teach me how to drive it…
This is great– exactly what I was looking for, and it works like a charm. Thank you!
