Never mind. I just set a min-height on the footer and fixed that. Thanks a lot for your help!

Tell me about it. It’s 3am and I’m still staring at this computer! I think I did what you’re suggesting and it seems to be working except the span on the bottom is cutting into the footer image now.

I moved some things around. If you don’t mind taking another look, I think I am close. The #footerWidget has the repeating background texture but I can’t get figure out the right way to position it so that it starts level with #footerSpan

Thanks. I’ll try that. My only issue is I was hoping to not have a set height for the footer, rather have it adjust with the content but I guess that’s not so easy when you’re using images.

What do you think about using the texture? I have that as an image as well with no white line. Just don’t know where to stick it so that it doesn’t end up laying on top of the footer image.

Got it working. One of the slider javascript files needed to be moved above another.

You’re right…not sure why the usual dialogue wasn’t showing up, that was causing my confusion. It just looked like a blank space. Thanks for the help!

I’m actually not using a plugin, I downloaded the nivo-slider from devstudios and added it directly into my site. thanks for the link, if i can’t get it working i will try the plugin.

ok so i think i found out what is causing the problem. when i wrapped the wp_head in HTML comments this is showing up, from where I don’t know since those styles are not in my CSS file.

i deactivated the CMS plugin and the gap remains.

Yes the margin can be seen, at least I see it. Basically the tip of the paper with my name on it should be touching the top of the browser. You should not be able to see the background texture.

I have no plugins currently being used on my theme so i don’t think that’s the problem. The wp_head function is being used but i’m unsure you’d be able to see it since it’s php?

i’m at total loss here since i don’t really know php.
