Hi all and thanks for your responses.
I now that the database is set up and accessable as I can access and view it from the control panel for the site. I have also set up a second database with different settings to test and I can connect to it via the control panel also.
The config.php file is set correctly and has been checked multiple times.
I guess the next step is to contact the host. I’ll get back here with progress (or lack of ?? )
