Just checked again. I’m on 3.11 now and editing thumbnails works just fine.
(WordPress 5.7.2)- This reply was modified 3 years, 5 months ago by doctordada. Reason: Added WP version
Thanks, @bcworkz. Maybe someone at BlueHost (hosting co. & domain registrar) will be able to explain what’s going on.
I can confirm that NextGEN Gallery 3.3.11 has fixed the “Edit thumb” bug. Thanks @mihaiimagely and developers.
Thanks for this. I guess I’ll close (“resolve”) the topic now?
Hi. No, unfortunately it’s not resolved. I have since uploaded the site to a temporary location on our server and the problem is still there. So, no point clearing the cache now, right?
? Home page (Esperanto): https://aea.esperanto.org.au/wordpress5/eo/hejmo/
Metaslider: “Home slideshow”
? Home page (English): https://aea.esperanto.org.au/wordpress5/
Metaslider: set on backend as “Hejma bildaro” (captions in Esperanto) but displays “Home slideshow” (captions in English)I didn’t use any shortcode. I’m not editing my theme, I’m just creating the sliders, then adding them to the pages using the Page Slider control in the right-hand column on the backend (see https://aea.esperanto.org.au/ftp-uploads/WP-screenshot-AEA.png for a screenshot).
Interestingly, before I set the slider for the Esperanto home page to “Hejma bildaro”, the Display Page Slider drop-down showed “None”, even though it was already showing the “Home slideshow” slider.
(BTW, ignore any broken links/images in the site; they should work again once this version replaces the current live site at https://aea.esperanto.org.au/.)
Thanks. It’s strange, though, because at least one other site I manage has the same PHP version (doctordada.com), and WordFence has no problem scanning that.
Hi “wfalaa”. Thanks for the reply. (Sorry I’m only just getting back to it now.) I’ve just emailed you the scan activity log. It looks like the scan is getting stuck on code-editor-rtl.css.
Cheers

In reply to: Looking for a theme with an automatic secondary nav menuI have, however, found another plugin, “Advanced Sidebar Menu“, that seems to do the trick. I realise I was looking for Themes when I probably should have started looking at Plugins. Thanks again.

In reply to: Looking for a theme with an automatic secondary nav menuThanks WPyogi, I tried it out but I can’t even get it to display at all. (I must be doing something wrong, but I can’t work out what.)

In reply to: Looking for a theme with an automatic secondary nav menuThe site quoted by you is NOT a WordPress site.
Yes, I know. But I feel that such a simple concept should be achievable in WP, too.
I have already searched with filters (although the closest filter is “custom-menu”) and have done the exact search you mentioned, but none of the themes that come up have what I’m looking for (at least according to their Previews).

In reply to: Add Media and Text buttons not workingI just read on the ‘SiteGround’ blog that a solution is to install a plugin called “Use Google Libraries”. I tried it myself and… HEY PRESTO! … all the buttons started to work. Worth a try.
[Note: I had only just created my WP website, using the latest version (5.5.2) and the default ‘Twenty Twelve’ theme, so I was pretty sure the other suggestions wouldn’t apply to me.]
