In reply to: [Zotpress] urlwrap doesn't produce links for all itemsI’ve now updated, and indeed URLwrap now works with Chicago author-date. But you are aware, yes?, that the more recent versions of Chicago author-date do headline vs. sentence style capitalization of titles (see Chicago quick guide), thus your lowercasing is not in accordance with the style. And Zotero recommends storing titles in sentence capitalization (e.g., here), as it’s apparently easier for Zotero to convert to headline capitalization than the other way around. Is there a way Zotpress can preserve URLwrap while maintaining the headline-style capitalization expected in Chicago?
Many thanks,
Jim P.

In reply to: [Send Images to RSS] formatting feed item contentOkay, got it! Previously I had only understood how to globally style a particular (e.g., text) block, or a particular item inside a block, but now I see that by not selecting any blocks I can globally style the entire body, and this is indeed preserved throughout, including where I was bumping into the problem.
So, I’m happy to do it this way; thanks again.

In reply to: [Send Images to RSS] formatting feed item contentYes: the feed is here, and my current MailChimp content block is as follows:
*|FEEDBLOCK:https://ds.lclark.edu/envx/feed/|* *|FEEDITEMS:[$count=10]|* *|FEEDITEM:TITLE|* ENVX editor: *|FEEDITEM:AUTHOR|* – Published: *|FEEDITEM:DATE:m/d/y|* *|FEEDITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* *|END:FEEDITEMS|* *|END:FEEDBLOCK|*
You are correct that image alignment, feed excerpt length, and read more link are working as per your plugin settings. It’s just that <p></p> inside the <span style></span> around the content_full material, I believe.
I’ve uploaded a screenshot of the preview mode here; you can see the issue with styling the content_full material.
Sure appreciate,
Jim P.

In reply to: [Send Images to RSS] feed images in regular vs. rss mailchimp campaignAlas, you have found my silly mistake: I indeed did not use *|FEEDITEM:CONTENT_FULL|*.
All is now fixed!
Sure appreciate,
Jim P.
Thanks for your quick response. The plugin is activated for this one site, though (like all multisite plugins) it is installed at the network level.

Jim P.
Btw, I’m currently running the *free* version of your plugin to test, though we may upgrade in time.

In reply to: [Zotpress] urlwrap doesn't produce links for all itemsKatie, thanks. I updated the output page here after updating to Zotpress 6.1.4, and clearing the site cache and Zotpress account cache just to be safe. There was no change with Chicago author-date, but of the three references that didn’t URLwrap successfully in APA, two now do…you’ll see this all on the third scenario I present on that output page.
Do be in touch; happy to continue assisting, and many thanks.

In reply to: [Zotpress] urlwrap doesn't produce links for all itemsOkay, thanks Katie! All my Zotero references have an entry in the URL field, and I’m attempting to wrap this URL on the title of the reference. Here is the default shortcode I’m using:
[zotpress sortby="author" style="chicago-author-date" abstracts="yes" urlwrap="title" target="new"]
I’ve created a public page here that shows what the Zotpress dynamic output looks like when style is set to Chicago author-date vs. APA. You’ll see that *almost* all references display URLwrap correctly with APA (whereas none do with Chicago author-date), yet I don’t immediately see a pattern as to the APA references that don’t work, as explained on the page.
I’m happy to do followup testing, give you a login (assuming you have a WordPress.com account…we login via Jetpack)/add you to the Zotero library, etc.
Sure appreciate!

Jim

In reply to: [Zotpress] urlwrap doesn't produce links for all itemsKatie, I’m seeing this problem with v6.1.3: using Chicago author-date the URLwrap doesn’t work at all, and using e.g. APA URLwrap works fine for most but not all references, with as far as I can see no pattern differentiating those that don’t work.
I can send you samples and help diagnose if you wish. My main goal is to use URLwrap successfully with the Chicago author-date style.

I’ve traced this to the PressForward plugin. At this point we have to deactivate PressForward, create the new custom sidebar, then re-activate. I will report to the PF developers.

Jeremy, this is all very helpful; thanks so much. We can close this thread now, and I’ll communicate the above to my students.

Yes, it apparently works. Yet to be clear, both the Follow plugin and WP.com Follow script enable *subscription* (i.e., email notification of new posts) and not *WP.com Follow* (i.e., inclusion in WP.com Reader view), correct? The latter is the functionality of the Follow link on WP.com sites, is it not? (Possibly also email subscriptions, if configured accordingly on WP.com.)
