Gutenberg is TRASH

  • Literally the worst page builder I have ever seen or used. An absolute MESS.

    It’s a useless plugin that makes it harder for savvy designers to do their job.

    This tool is probably the worst thing to ever happen to web design. Amateur web developers are made stupider by even seeing this utility.

    Many people love Gutenberg and are building amazing sites with it.

    If many people “love” gutenberg, as you say, it wouldn’t have over 2000 negative reviews and a 2 star rating.

    That’s really not very constructive – it would be helpful if you outlined what doesn’t work for you.

    Millions of sites are now using gutenberg, and millions of users love it

    the plugin reviews here have become the wild west of poor reviews unfortunately

    That’s great. I’m not here to help improve this utility.

    I’m here to simply say that I think it’s garbage, and that simplifying tools does not train people to become better web designers. I train people to build websites at the university I work for, and tools like this make my job harder. Gutenberg is a crutch for people who refuse to learn even the most fundamental concepts of building a web page.

    If millions of people are using Gutenberg to build “amazing” websites, millions of people are doing it wrong.
