Ok, I see it…I was looking in wrong place. So Zedity allows editing of posts and pages, only, not layout of home page correct?

ok i did all three things. through the twentythirteen theme if i click on the category (via the link provided on the categorized post), it takes me to all posts under that category as it should. i switched back to my old theme and it still works, so thanks! the only plugin i had activated was limit login attempts, and i deactivated it.

ps, what is a plugin and how can i find/download other ones? thx

yes, the posts are under the appropriate categories and when i click on categories through dashboard it shows the appropriate posts under each one. question- where it says “slug”- just one word is entered (by default, i did not enter it). for example for my Breakfast category, the slug is breakfast. is this correct?

I hadn’t, however I just did. Unfortunately I’m not familiar with code and am a non-computer person trying to start up a blog on my own. I vaguely recognized something about categories toward the bottom of the page you posted, but I didn’t understand what it said to do. Totally new at this, sorry :/
