In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Import feed 'all over the place'I upgraded to 2.5.8 (after completely removing – files & DB tables) the prior version. It pulled in all events and then I went through the process (again) of applying categories.
On the next hourly refresh I was left with just 127 events in the calendar. I again deleted the plugin and database tables and installed v 2.4.1 which has been rock solid stable ever since.
The issue is clearly with the collection of events via the API. It’s not working correctly and a trawl through the support forum here suggests this has been the case since the switch.
I’ll stick with 2.4.1 until I stop seeing support requests for iCal feeds.
It’s a real shame as this is otherwise a great plugin.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Import feed 'all over the place'Another update
Forced a refresh and now there are only 263 events in the calendar – again completely random which ones are kept and which are not.
Laughable – now 30 minutes later there are 357 events.
This version of the plugin is NOT production environment ready. Reverting back to the older version and will run the new one on the test site until it seems to be stable.

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] Import feed 'all over the place'An update.
Calendar feed: https://www.google.com/calendar/ical/bmcc.racing%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics
Calendar page: https://www.bmcc2000.com/calendar/
I refreshed the calendar at approx 1700 BST today and all (approx) 2,300 events (including all history) imported. I then had to bulk edit the event to re add the categories. Fifty minutes later and there are now only 464 events in the calendar. There seems absolutely no consistency either around which events have disappeared.
Is there a known error that is going to be fixed so I can let site users know when the calendar should be working properly?
Thanks.
There’s a great plugin called WP Rollback that should do the trick for you.
Not call from time.ly at all.
