both links don’t really work for me, sorry. We never experienced that problem – the content is indeed rendered in an unformatted page, but should be shown within the lightbox. Maybe some other plugin is trying to “free” the page from being shown in a frame?

yes, just like a real advent calendar the content of past days are available.

Once a date is active, the image behind it will be clearer, then it’s possible to see the letter a bit better. You can see this, if you open your page – https://blog.ehorses.nl/advent/ – switch to “Edit Page” – and then click on the “Preview Changes” button.

I am not aware of a way to use shortcodes on category overviews. How exactly would you like that functionality to work?

I actually played around with these ideas – both as ideas and in actual code.
In the end I decided to leave it the way it is now – changing the title and adding some text before publishing the post is exactly why the plugin doesn’t automatically publish the post. Instead it creates a draft that can be changed according to one’s taste. I’ll think about just adding an automated date-field for the next update, though. ??

Ah, yes. Apparently this is not possible, yet. I’ll push an update with that option today.

thanks again for contacting us. Your bitly-link is sadly not working, but I do know the address of your advent calendar from our previous email conversation.

Something in the CSS of your theme is messing with the links inside the calendar – we did not see the same problem in any of our test installations nor in any of the calendars “out there in the wild.” It could be a JavaScript problem, too – when I open your page, my Chrome developer console tells me about an “unexpected end of input” in line 561. Maybe that’s the culprit?

Hi, I needed some time to understand what result you wanted to get – you seem to be drawing the day numbers directly onto the image. I’m not sure this is what we want to do, especially with the new shuffle feature that will come with WordPress 4.4.

Martin is unable to look at this at the moment, I’ll try to answer with my lesser CSS knowledge.
As far as I can see, the background image scales to the size of the calendar, which scales to the width of the article/page. I looked at the Europastadt-calendar and it looks like their code looks pretty similar in that regard.

Hah, apparently there is a second bug with the same results. I just fixed that, the update should be out in about an hour.

I’ll give the idea with the mixed numbers to Martin, he’s the right guy for that. ??

I don’t see the advent calendar plugin on the page – I guess it is some other plugin or maybe the theme?

It creates a new taxonomy called “languages” with which you can further organise your blog posts by language.

I added some screenshots, I hope they help.

That’s currently not possible but sounds like a good idea for the next version!
