I deactivated all plugins and activated it one by one and narrowed it down to Jetpack. I think this is now confirmed by what Mark posted.
Thank you for the patch. I would really appreciate if I didn’t have to apply it every time Jetpack is updated.

No, both are disabled (they never been enabled actually) and it doesn’t help.
I tried disabling everything I could – with no success.

I know that long time passed, but if anyone needs to have a working plugin for many wordpress blogs using one shared memcached server, here is the version modified by me:

That’s kind of a solution, but as you said, it’s not so flexible and I doubt that casual users will be able to do this.

Can you please keep this issue in mind while working on next version ? Maybe you will be able to provide better solution, like album-as-a-page or nggallery-standalone-link.

Polish letters still don’t work (question marks appear), but only in frontend, everywhere else (admin area) it looks fine.

It doesn’t work with the newest WP, I’ve got Forbidden error.
