Thanks for your helpForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Shapely] Customizez header imagesHi Vinod
I tried deactivating all the plugins but no effect. I suspect it must have something to do with changes previously made in the theme files but I have checked the header php file and everything seems OK. If I temporarily change to another theme, uninstall shapely and then reinstall and activate the Shapey theme, might that work? As I day the issue is there is no header option in customizer and so no no header images (except on the post pages).
ThanksForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Shapely] Customizez header imagesHi Vinod
The problem is that only applies to the post pages (latest posts in my navbar).
https://guided-mountain-walks.com/alpujarras-trip-2016/There is no header image on all the other pages, for example the one below.

In reply to: [Shapely] related posts section not visibleThanks Vinod. That worked great. I have one final issue regarding header images only appearing on posts pages but I will start a new thread for that.
Thanks againForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesSorry for not getting back to you Fahad – I’ve been away for a while.
Can I check that the following code is what you suggest I insert into the header.php child theme.
<span class=”yellow”><?php do_action(‘apply_header_images’); ?></span>
OR
<span class=”light_blue”><?php do_shortcode(‘[WP_HEADER_IMAGEThanks

Apologizes for not getting back to you but I have been away for the last week. I have deactivated the W3 total cache. ThanksForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesThanks Fahad. I am nearly there – if I could ask one final question. If you look at the website https://guided-mountain-walks.com/about-us/ you’ll see the banner is perfect but comes above the navbar.
To get the headers below the navbar, which bit of code exactly do I need to put into the header.php code below and where exactly does it need to go.
Thanks again for your time<?php

In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesHi Fahad
Yes I will do that. In the meantime (after I had a problem and was in touch with the hosting provider) I input the following code
do_shortcode(‘[WP_HEADER_IMAGES]’);
into the child theme functions.php file and the banners are now visible yet unlike before they appear above the navbar (previously they were below). Any thoughts how I can sort that out – and can you just confirm that once I get the header.php copied over I should input the same code as above into the appropriate area of the header.php file.

In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesHi Fahad
Not sure how to set up a new header.php template within the child theme. is it OK to copy over all the contents of the parent?header.php template,, if so copy to which of my existing child theme templates?
Thanks Fahad and sorry for the hassleForum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesThanks Fahad
Can you confirm the piece of shortcode I need to insert. and where exactly in the child theme. I have the following templates within my child theme.
? Theme Functions
(functions.php)
? content-page.php
(template-parts/content-page.php)
? content.php
(template-parts/content.php)
Styles
? Stylesheet
(style.css)
One last thing – would I need to delete the code which I had previously inserted into my parent theme, header.php I think it was, though I don’t remember exactly which code I used.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WP Header Images] WP header images on mobile devicesHi Fahad
Sorry to bother you again but the WP theme I am using ‘Shapely’ was updated a while back and since the update the header images are no longer visible
I’ve been away for a while so only getting back to this now. I assume it is because of the update but I see your installation process might have changed so I was wondering if you have any idea what the problem might be or should I try reinstalling the plugin to see if that sorts it out.
Thank you – the site is https://www.guided-mountain-walks.com

In reply to: [Shapely] related posts section not visibleHi Vinod
I’ve been away for a while so only getting back to this now. I am still using this thread because of the problem of the related post section not showing was not resolved by the update. Also, if you don’t mind I’ll mention here another issue which has arisen because of the update. I was using a plugin “WP Header image” to get specific header images on individual pages (plugin accessible on dashboard under settings). Since the update the header images are no longer visible and neither can I use the normal customizer header image to insert a generic header image. If you have any idea about what I can do to input some sort of header image I would be very grateful.

In reply to: [Shapely] related posts section not visibleThanks very much Vinod for the information. Do you know does it automatically update or do I need to update the theme via my WP admin dashboard?

In reply to: [Shapely] related posts section not visibleThanks Vinod,,, do you know if I will be notified via this post?
Hi Vinod
I changed a bit of CSS (which I must have missed before) and it I think I have it sorted. Thanks very much for your help in this. Regarding the responsiveness on navbar issue, I am not really familiar with how GitHub works – should I to submit to the thread above to be notified once they have a solution
Thanks again
