Sorry, I don’t uninstall plug-ins that work to facilitate new plug-ins that are incompatible. In my experience, most well-written plug-ins are compatible with each other. I expect the developer to resolve incompatibilities.

It seems you could get at the root of the issue by addressing the error message I mnetioned: “Error while attempting to convert file: Cannot read property ‘children’ of undefined.”

I don’t mean to be unkind. I guess my disappointment with your plug-in is showing. A big timesaver if it worked without hassle.

No, not really. They are just ordinary Word documents like everyone creates. An introduction, a heading, more text, another heading, and so forth. No formatting other than standard heading styles.

Some were all text, and I tried images with a few. Same results with all–no joy.

Seems like the plug-in would accommodate normal Word files without them needing to be examined.

I’m glad you have not abandoned this plug-in.

No documents successfully upload. I have tried multiple docx files using Word 2019. Just”loading” or “Error while attempting…” messages but nothing happens. It does not convert anything.

My WP pages use the Classic Editor.

My Word files are ordinary. Text with H1 and H2 headings. Nothing fancy. I have tried using files both with images (which I’d like to include) and without images. Nothing converts.

Knowing that the “Error while attempting…” is a javascript error type, I even checked to make sure I have the latest updates and I do.

Other plug-ins offer migration without a misleading headline or making you read the small print for conditions.

If you want free migration without hassle, check the other plug-ins. You’ll discover better options.

    Follow-up.

Spent an hour experimenting. I set the Scroll Offset Top to 100 and now it works as I wish.

The default of 24 is a little misleading, I suppose. You would think that doubling it to 50 or more would make a big difference. but it didn’t in my case. I had to quadruple the default to get it to hit correctly.

This solution does not work for me. The link takes it to a spot that hides the headline.

No change whether the Scroll Offset Top setting is 6 or 60.

Any other ways to fix this problem?

    Thanks.

Thank you catacaustic. I explored it in detail and saw nothing odd. That’s why I’m seeking a solution here.

Clicking on Blocks does not make any difference.

I have several sites with Ad Inserter and clicking on Blocks does not change any of them.

Yes, I have systematically checked other plug-ins for interference, cleared cache and all the other usual stuff.

    Still, tabs do not show.

Wordfence flags Starbox as a problem. It is no longer in the WordPress repository. The plug-in creators refuse to say why. We can only assume Starbox poses a malware threat.

Can anyone suggest a replacement for this once excellent plug-in?

Okay, I got rid of this beast.

It deleted over 1,000 files in hundreds of directories. It was woven into the fabric of the site like a cancer.

I consider it a miracle that deleting all that did not destroy the site.

    Thank you for your help.

Thank you, Rocco. Yes, 900px was the problem.

I used that code as a test but didn’t see it because under Additional CSS you have to double scroll down to see all the code, and it was at the bottom. Lesson learned.

You saved me hours. Much appreciated.

    Rocco,

You might want to take a look at the doc you referenced. It does not offer the information requested to get rid of the MORE box. Even the menu option images are seriously out-dated and not the same as the template. A waste of time to go there.

Just can’t stop nagging, eh, even with proof. Sad.

The WP Community is not here to convince you that all your nag screens are annoying. Please just accept that. My heading says, “All the nag screens are annoying.” Believe it.

Your giant pop-up with the new features looks like an up-sell to me, especially since you’re capturing emails through that device.

Again, I think your nag screens are spammy. I think you are collecting email addresses to sell something later. I think you are not being ethical with the WP Community when you say your plug-in does not contain “…any “nags” with any such content.”.

You asked for a rating and review and I gave a fair and honest one.

I won’t be answering any more of your questions. The 3 types of nag screen images I posted above say it all.

WEBFACTORY – This is not true… you are not being fair to the WP Community when you say…”We don’t have any upsells nor any “nags” with any such content…”

@admin – Please remove plugins from the directory when author misrepresents the plug-in.

Here are 3 types of nag screens you have, some of which can only be turned off temporarily. They are an intrusive nuisance, far worse than any plug-in I’ve ever used in the last 8 years.

    Type 3 (giant pop-up)

Webfactory – It’s not right when you say, “We don’t have any upsells nor any “nags” with any such content…”

I took the time to reinstall your plug-in because I think you are not being honest with the WP community. Your nag screens are about the worst I’ve ever seen. The nags are intrusive and clutter the WP back-end.

@admin… Please ban people like this who misrepresent how their plug-ins work.

Here are 3 TYPES of nag screens, some you can dismiss only temporarily.
