Just wanted to confirm that the latest version fixed the problem. Thanks again!
Thanks, Kim! That’s great news. I appreciate you and Peter making that happen!
Thanks, Kim. But your answer confuses me. I’m not looking to provide a default value for a field in a table. I’m only reading the data, and my relatively sparse data has a lot of NULLs for date fields. When those fields are displayed in a list in WPDA, they are displaying today’s date.
Instead, I want those NULL values to display as empty cells, as it does for every other data type.
And how would I use a WordPress user ID to solve this problem?
So I’m not sure how I would use default values as you describe. What am I not understanding?
Your mention of hooks sounds intriguing. Am I able to hook into the reading of date fields somehow to pass a ” for NULL date fields?
Thanks for nudging Peter again!

Hi Kim,
Any word on an update? Or is there a workaround? We’re getting close to being ready to go live, and this is the last issue we need to resolve.
Thanks!
DonAh. I was distracted by all the information for Data Tables. Thanks, Kim!
I guess I’ll mark this as resolved. Unless you want to pursue it further, Kim.
Thanks, Kim. But unchecking those other checkboxes didn’t make a difference. In thinking about this more, it is probably because I have to use a lookup to get the hyperlink from a related table, not directly from the table I’m viewing. I can select the right field in the template Lookup list, but the hyperlink isn’t appearing.
I’ve implemented a workaround though: I’m using a Virtual Generated column in the table to build the URL. That’s working, although isn’t optimal.
Great, thanks!
Thanks, Kim! Yes, that clarifies it perfectly. I just got done adding the virtual generated columns and reconciling the affected project templates. And it worked beautifully, without affecting any other settings.
It’s about time that I head over and give WP Data Access a 5-star review, which I’ll do now. It and you all are awesome!

Thanks, Kim! To clarify, yes, this is a remote database. But I’m not concerned about Data Explorer. I’m asking about the objects I create from the database: projects and templates. When I add the virtual generated columns, what will I have to do to incorporate them into my existing objects? Again, not the Data Explorer.
Great, thanks! I missed that setting, obviously.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Frequent Disconnections – WordfenceThanks, Roxy! I’ll reach out to Wordfence and will report back.

In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Frequent Disconnections – WordfenceThanks, but that is not a viable solution. It would mean turning off all of our security protections potentially for multiple months, including our web application firewall, 2FA, etc. In this day and age, that is not feasible.
And the other main website–the third is not very active–has a nearly completely different set of features and plugins. Just about the only thing in common is WooCommerce, so I hope that deactivating Woo is not necessary! ??
How else can we figure out what is going on?
Thanks,
DonThanks, @kaushiksomaiya!
I know that FSE is a work in progress, but it is beta? I thought that as of WordPress version 5.8, it was baked into core, and versions 5.9 and 6.0 added features. So you’re saying that it isn’t ready for production use?
Anyway, I guess we’re still on shaky ground with going full FSE. But thanks for the links! We’ll continue to explore FSE themes.
But maybe it’s premature to go full in with FSE….

Thanks! That resolved the problem. I really appreciate your help.
