I know Buddypress docs exists, but it works only in groups and as a sepparate page and not as an addition to the Activity Stream.

It is very strange that Buddypress.org hasn’t integrated links/video/photos to the Activity Stream and that we depend only on WPMUDEV for this one plugin to solve an extremely obvious and basic issue for ANY social networking solution (it is inconceivable not to have media uploading capacities in the Activity Stream).

Also it is incredible that only ONE plugin exists to solve this thing…thx to the lack of competition the developer of this plugin rests on a very incomplete solution with no apparent sense of urgency to make it better (please someone develop a competing plugin!).

Everything is wrong with this plugin, maybe the developer never uses any social media sites, its the only explanation.

In the meantime I adhere to the needs of this forum that it is imperative that this plugin must be compatible with iOS6 (all apple products).

IT IS URGENT!!!!!!!

NOTE: The fact that this plugin is offered for free does not give license to the developer to make it lousy…it undermines the whole open-source wordpress enterprise.

Yes I create sites using the buddypress front end: either on the registration process or using the /sites/create page. But from the back end using Add New it doesn′t create the tables so the new sites, even if they seem to be created, actually do not exist!! That is why there is the Database not connect error. This only from the network admin multisite admin side.

No, it gives me “Error establishing a database connection” the tables don′t get created…

Because my install is with sub-directories the:

@ipstenu Mind thet on the fron end site DO get created…does it use a different process?

I added:

@ipstenu my multisite ad new is not creating the new databases, all the rest is ok (.htaccess, wp-comfig.php, etc.) I created the new .htaccess that disappeard above, but to no avail. DreanHost works perfectly with multisite and haven′t changed any policies. I am lost. The only thing that I can tell you is that on new site creation no new tables are being created…that′s for sure. I saw that you tried to ask this several times above, but no one answered directly. But it is that, no new tables created.

I checked my .htaccess files and they had dissappeard!! I tried to create new and they are deleted in a flash!! that is the problem… Is it WordPress or is it the host (DreamHost)

@ipstenu and @andrea_r I have WP 3.2.1/BuddyPress 1.5.1/Multisite I have been creating sites with no problems from the Network Admin > Sites > Add New, but suddenly today it is happening exactly what was described above:

1. The site appears to be created
2. Try to go to the site and “Error establishing a database connection”
3. The “Visit Site” link points to “https://www.pilarsocial.com/wp-admin/network/sites.php&#8221; instead of “https://www.pilarsocial.com/newsite&#8221;
4. I checked the dbase and it didn′t create the tables
5. Absolutely weird: From the BuddyPress Main site on the front end at https://www.pilarsocial.com/sitios/create DOES WORK!! (it′s transalated to Spanish)

Summary: from the back-end it is not possible (suddenly) to create new sites.

I read this and other topics that say “resolved”, but because I am not programmer I don′t know what is the solution!

Can you help me please?
