I tried adding blank to the URL, but of course, it didn’t work.

But what if you could change the way that this link was handled when fetching from your Database with a Plugin, Code Snippet, or whatever. Is this a possibility?

Also, I know there are so many Plugins around that it is very hard to keep track of them all, but is your “technical information report” unique to your product, or are their similar ones around.

Over the years I have printed out pages of screen dump listings of plugins in my troubleshooting attempts to section isolate problems and the need to deactivate and reactivate plugins, that a similar stand-alone plugin that produces a text file like yours, would be ideal for troubleshooting.

Add to it, things like Database name, and size, and possibly a few other things, and you would have a very nice and useful plugin I feel.

In fact, I would now keep “WP External Links” deactivated until I needed the “Show Technical Information Report” for my troubleshooting. This will also produce a text log that can be downloaded to my local drive for future reference.

If you do a version upgrade, make sure you do this small patch again, else it will be overwritten, and scripts will stop working.

Sanjiv gave me this patch a few days ago, with the explanation.

well, I tried again, and they closed my new ticket straight away saying it was a duplicate.

OK, I give up. They don’t want to know about bugs in their own system.

Tried support tickets, both closed, no problems they say. second one was closed in 3 minutes. No one had time to read that.

No contact email, no one on one support. Moderator, surely you know someone in the system, and can get through to someone?

Customers will just have to “get over it”

well, I tried that and they closed the ticket saying it is correct, but if the search doesn’t work, why close it?

I got 7 messages basically saying nothing is wrong.

Am I dealing with gurus that can’t see past the end of their noses?

I wrote my first code in 1975, and most of my get up and go has got up and went, but this is crazy stupid.

I can’t get it fixed, I can’t contact anyone direct and tell them they have a problem?

After spending a little time with this program, I have found what I believe is the answer myself.

If you select nothing in the search menu, you get a maximum return of entries.
As you select items from the menu including locations and categories, the list becomes smaller, until you can drill down to the items you are really searching for. That is, if they exist.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Siteground tested all plug-ins 3 months in advance before making this sort of move, and notified the vendors about these upcoming problems? They carry more weight than small business owners like us.

Hi AAP,

This plug-in may be handy for BestAzon for adding scripts easily.

“OH Add Script Header Footer”. Have tested it, and it works fine.

Allows you to add the scripts to a new panel that is appended to the bottom of the page being edited.

Saves copy and pasting into the post itself, and you can easily check each page to see if the Ba script has been added.

Have a quick play with it.

Think I just figured this out for myself.

What I should be doing is placing the “insert read more tag” in a suitable position, so you don’t need the TOC+ to be showing anyway on a cat listing, as you just want an abbreviated version, not the full whack of text once.
