Ok, so I have tried a few things: My blog seems to be working in a WP sort of way. It does what it needs to do, I can post, e-mail posts to it and even the categories are working with custom permalinks. And my images are not disappearing.
Great, except how do I allow users to click on my banner title (the site name that I made which sits on top of the header/banner image in the theme) How do I change that link so when a user clicks the Free Me link, they go to https://www.free-me.com and see all content as I would like? And that they do not revert to top level of https://www.free-me.com/blog

I am sure it is a simple fix, anyone help? Please?

ok, i have also established if i make any of my permalinks custom, then images dissapear off my actual website, and the error log show that the index.php file can not be found. As soon as I revert to default permalinks, the images re appear.
    2) if i type a link such as https://www.free-me.com/blog/p1 then it works and displays post 1. However if i then click any categories it goes to my root web page. ideas? could it be in the link settings/
