Just chiming in as being able to apply rules to discount codes would be really useful for me too. I specifically need to be able to give people a discount code that only applies to up to four tickets, and any additional tickets bought as part of the same transaction are charged at full price. Also, if the code could only be used once per user for a particular show that would be great too, so someone can’t come back and do a second transaction with the discount applied too – perhaps the user would be identified by email address.

Malcolm, I realise all these things take time to do – personally I’d be happy to buy extensions to the plugin for the extra functionality, if that’s any encouragement for you to invest the time into it!

I’ve successfully updated by downloading the zip file from the plugin site (WordPress dashboard > Plugins > View details > Plugin Homepage > Download) and installing it as a new plug in via the dashboard (Plugins > Add new). There were some alarming looking errors that popped up, but it seems to have kept all my data intact – live and archived performances, seating plans and prices all seem fine. Do a back up first though, obviously… ??

PS Booking summary emails do still come through OK

I enthusiastically second an opt-in box for marketing emails. It’s a big opportunity missed at the moment, not being able to add people to our mailing database when they purchase tickets and they’re much more likely to sign up at the same time as buying, rather than in response to a later, separate request by email. Please do consider adding this ??

Hi, thanks for that, have managed to get the legend and seat decoding working now.

I have created a discount code but the input box that it should be typed into on the box office page doesn’t seem to be working properly – the input box is very narrow (a couple of characters wide) and when you click on it and try to type something in, nothing happens. Any ideas why that is?
