UPDATE
I added the Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and Spotify URLs to Destinations. The PowerPress subscribe links still don’t appear.Since I never received a response to my question, I manually added subscribe badges/links.

In reply to: [Gravity Forms Placeholder Add-On] Works greatThat’s great. Thanks again for the plugin!
Daedalon has come up with a good solution. I would chip in for the improvement.
Regarding my previous comment, “though not a recurring event”: I understand that technically, yes, it is “recurring” because the same event occurs on three consecutive days. This makes sense innately and if I were to display the events in the calendar.
However, I’m only using the Event List. The reason I don’t want to make the event “recurring” is that I don’t want the same event listed three times. In other words, I only want the information displayed within one event “post.” It might seem odd to site visitors if they see “Poetry Weekend,” “Poetry Weekend,” “Poetry Weekend.” Thus, I chose to use one event.
I should just rethink things.
I would also this type of feature to be available in the future.
I currently have one event that will span multiple days. For each day the start and end times are different. Though it’s not a recurring event, I would still like the option to display different start/end times for the different days, e.g. Friday 4PM – 9PM, Saturday 9AM – 9PM, Sunday 10AM – 6PM.
I’m going to use custom attributes at this time, but would love to have a built-in option at some point.
Otherwise, I love this plugin and its flexibility.
Agelonwl, yes I’m thinking of using attributes. Perhaps something like:
#_ATT{EVENT_DAY1}{Saturday|Sunday|Monday} #_ATT{EVENT_TIME1}
#_ATT{EVENT_DAY2}{Saturday|Sunday|Monday} #_ATT{EVENT_TIME2}, etc.I would create attribute options for each day of the week, but only one input for EVENT_TIME1, in which one would manually type the exact time (i.e. “9AM – 9PM”).
OR I can make {EVENT_STARTTIME1}{12:00AM|01:00AM}, {EVENT_ENDTIME1}{12:00AM|01:00AM}, etc. That would create a long list of attributes if there are many days. I’ll have to see which is easier for the client.
Hi Daedalon, I read your thread. Sounds very promising. Yes, I will add my suggestion. It appears to be a needed feature.
In case anyone else has this problem, the problem turned out to be the plugin Dean’s Permalinks Migration.

In reply to: Switching locally installed WP site with live hosted WP siteI figured it out. Apparently I had to have the exact same htaccess file within both the subdirectory and the public directory. Now all my links work.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Switching locally installed WP site with live hosted WP siteI finally made the switch to the newly designed/developed site. I deleted the old site (located in the public folder) and switched to the new site (located in a subdirectory). I followed the instructions in this article.
I first tried leaving the htaccess file in the subdirectory, but some of my links didn’t work. Then I tried placing htaccess in the public folder and updated the permalink structure. All the links on my site worked for about 20 minutes. Now, however, only parent Pages work, while child Pages, including blog posts, give me a 404 error. The only things I did in between it working and not working was change some links in text widgets, and updated links on a single WP Page.
Does anyone have insight on this? And should I continue to post here, or should I start a new thread?

In reply to: Switching locally installed WP site with live hosted WP siteThanks fonglh! That did it. I completely forgot to update the permalink structure.

In reply to: Switching locally installed WP site with live hosted WP site@fonglh, I have read that codex article a number of times, and have changed both URL settings to point to the subdirectory for now because I don’t want it to be live yet. Sorry this post is a bit irrelevant at the moment. I started a new thread but it was closed.
Both codex articles don’t answer my question. I need the old site (in the public folder) to work while I’m developing the new site (in the subdirectory). The new site gets redirected to the live site, which means I can’t develop the new site.

In reply to: Is WP overkill for a single-page site?@loke I can hand-code HTML/CSS very competently, I don’t like to use Dreamweaver. I could easily create a one-page site. However, my client would be able to update easily with WP and I prefer not to create my own PHP contact form. Unless someone can point to a great form solution. I like the contact form plugins for WP.

In reply to: Is WP overkill for a single-page site?Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I love using WP and am very comfortable with it. I guess it doesn’t matter!
