Thank you SO much!
Apologies for not starting a new thread. I’ll remember that next time.
I’m having the same question, (https://www.meechp.org/) coupled with inserting the slider into a custom theme design, so putting it to the home.php file. Here’s the insert code:
<div class="slider"> <?php echo do_shortcode("[metaslider id=4712]"); ?> <div class="bottom"></div> </div>
The CSS is:
div.slider { width: 650px; max-height:300px; margin-left: 0; padding-top:15px; padding-bottom:20px; overflow: hidden; position: relative; display:block!important;} .metaslider .caption, .metaslider .cs-title, .metaslider .nivo-caption { font-size: 1.3em; } .metaslider .caption, .metaslider .cs-title, .metaslider .nivo-caption { background: #F3AD4D; color: #000000; } .nivoSlider { overflow: visible!important; } .nivo-caption { top: 100%; }
I have NO clue about PHP, and manage to regularly screw up css…
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, David. I can never remember where all these support sites are (theme support, plugin support, theme author support, theme seller support, etc. etc. etc.).
Hopefully they’ll get it sorted out.
Also should have mentioned I’m using:
using NextGEN Gallery by Photocrati Version 2.1.23
NextGEN Plus by Photocrati Version 1.3.5Thanks, David. I’ll give it a try.
Thank you, Cais.
However your comment, “Method 2 will affect galleries that are inserted after the fact, but can be over-ridden using Method 1 for the specific display.” confuses me. How would “galleries inserted after the fact” affect exclusions in any gallery, however they’re made? Is there something I need to look out for that could undo my exclusion settings, made with either method?
Is it possible that in the future these two methods could be synchronized?

In reply to: [Seamless Donations is Sunset] How to insert a custom PayPal buttonGuys-sorry it took so long. I meant to do this after I made the change.
The plugin uses a full color button and a greyed out button. So to get these, I went to PayPal, copied the Donate button with the credit cards (which was the one I wanted to use), copying it by right-clicking and “save image as” to my hard drive. Then I duplicated it, opened the copy in Photoshop, and desaturated the image (hue/saturation or command/control-u) by moving the saturation slider all the way left.
Then I used my FTP client (Fetch) to load the two images to site/wp-content/plugins/seamless-donations/images/
Then, using my FTP client, I went to the seamless-donations plugin folder, and opened the file named dgx-donate-paypalstd.php using TextWrangler (use the editor of your choice). I scrolled to lines 275 and 276 and exchanged the names of the new files for the old names.
REMEMBER THIS (and/or copy these instructions to your drive) SO IF THE PLUGIN GETS UPDATED YOU CAN REPEAT THE PROCESS.
And you’re done!

In reply to: [Seamless Donations is Sunset] How to insert a custom PayPal buttonKinda figured that out. Since noone responded for two weeks, I explored all the options I could think of, found what lines of code to change, and made two new graphics to put in the plugins’ image folder. Yes, I know I’ll have to repeat this if/when the plugin gets updated.
If there was any indication the author actually looks at these tickets (the number of “resolved” issues is really small, and none more recent than a year ago), I’d suggest that the next upgrade offer different buttons for users to use, and the ability to change them out.

I did not check the relative paths point (not sure how I would do that), and the plugins do work, they just have to have all their settings reset.
It is entirely possible I did something wrong in the transfer, I just don’t know what.
No errors or warnings were indicated.
Guys-
As a way of learning, I’ve gone back to the original ng css and am trying to achieve the following: https://todddawsondesign.com/test/tbd-fineart/gallery%20I’m%20shooting%20for.jpg
Note the vertical alignment in the horizontal images. This is a more compact version of what DoubleSixx did, and it **looks** like it should be easy to code… can’t for the life of me make it work though.
Thoughts?
BTW-I’m using the Atahualpa theme, which has a custom CSS component. If I simply tweak the NG Gallery code there, it overrides the default css, and I don’t have to worry about updates. ??
DoubleSixx-
Thanks SO much for your help. While I don’t quite understand all the details in your code, it does seem to do the trick (my thumbs are larger than yours, so I fiddled with the sizes).
Now I’m wondering how to change the vertical alignment… various attempts have yielded no luck. Any thoughts?
