Hi Jeroen,
Always troubleshoot by viewing the blog’s raw RSS feed. I don’t see the images in your feed, so it looks like either the plugin isn’t activated, or the posts do not have a Featured Image set properly. You need to click on a post, and see if the Featured Image is set. If not, you need to set them. There are plugins that might be able to help set them in bulk from the first image found in the body.
Ah, try using RSS:CONTENT_FULL? That’s what their default RSS Campaign templates use. The plugin doesn’t yet work with FEEDITEM:CONTENT or RSSITEM:IMAGE…
I’m still trying to work out how to best implement the enclosure and media tag codes without breaking things it does now.
I appreciate your great review.
Thanks,

Hi Jennifer,
See this support thread regarding featured images and images in the body both being displayed:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/featured-image-shown-twice-1?replies=4
Bottom line, the theme should have an option to display the featured image, and then you don’t need that same image in the body, or if not, then you’d need to customize the theme, or change themes.
This plugin doesn’t do anything with post types, it just adds the featured image set on any post to be output in the RSS. If you don’t want it displayed for a specific post, or posts, don’t set one for those posts. ??
Might be cache related, once you change the size it may take some time to pick up the new images, not sure.
If the feed looks good, that’s about all this plugin does. The rest would be with Bloglovin.

In reply to: [Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More] Not working on 4.2.3??Hmm, I’ll look into it ASAP. I’m not sure what in 4.2.3 would have broken it, but I hope it’s an easy fix.

In reply to: [Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More] Featured Image Shown TwiceHi there, as noted above, your theme should support Featured Images properly, and then you’d remove the images from the body.
You can’t hide the featured images and use body images, because both with show up in the feed.
To fix your issue, instead of hiding the featured image, use CSS to properly format it, or customize the theme to rearrage it, so it works the way you want it to, or change themes.
The plugin only adds featured images to the feed. If you aren’t using featured images on the posts, turn the displayoff as you are, don’t use this plugin, and enjoy the images in the body only?

In reply to: [Featured Images in RSS for Mailchimp & More] Featured Image OnlyHi Jennifer,
My plugin just added the Featured Image to the feed, it doesn’t affect the body content itself, so you’d have to remove additional images from the body yourself.
If your theme isn’t showing the Featured Image and so needs images in the body, then see if the theme supports showing the Featured Image instead, or if you can customize the theme code to do so, maybe contact the theme author.
