After deleting the hundred plus files in the browser cache and all my Chrome plugins my site now operates normally. I decided to install a premium security plugin. That doesn’t function either and they will look at the site to figure out what is happening.

So, the site backend is broken and it is not attributable to anything in particular at the moment. I will be re-activating Participant’s Database once the current problem is sorted out.

Thank you both for your support in this issue.

    Thank you for your reply,

I am not at all suggesting your plugin is inserting the code. However the reality from my perspective is that after disabling all plugins, finding things back to normal, and gradually reintroducing what I consider essential plugins, the site breaks again as soon as your plugin is reactivated.

I am sorry this has happened as I have found your plugin very useful.

    With best wishes,

Sorry, I am a little lost here. I thought I had to go through Google for the smtp. Was using dreamhost mail to forward mail from contact forms to various people in different locations only most test mails sent never got there. Some stuff on the dreamhost forum suggested smtp authentication via google was the way to go.

So what is set up at the moment is my gmail email address was used to get the keys required for postman. The [email protected] is one of a dozen email addresses for contact people, all with their own contact forms supposedly set up to forward to them the contact form7 content posted.

I have another site on dreamhost and use an email from that site when testing the contact forms, hence the [email protected]

    The diagnostic output is:

    Yes it is.

I see now also I should have entered a website email address such as your postman@domain rather than my google email address which was the default on the Google developers site – obvious newbie to this here … will set it up again.

Thanks for what looks like a great plugin

Thank you David. I will play around with both on a dummy site and see what happens. I have a lot to learn about how to use taxonomy correctly so will do some research.

Best wishes and many thanks for your support of WordPress

I would also be very interested in this option.

I am currently using Document Gallery plugin and am a bit frustrated with needing to deal with files individually.

Is this plugin a replacement for Document Gallery or can it be used in addition to it?

He smiles to himself as he realises the second lot of code with the div belongs in the post, not in the css section of the plugin.

I know it’s a very slow way of learning WordPress and css but … I have to start somewhere.

Thank you very much Dan. All is working for me now and this little question has opened new doors for me.

    All the best,

    This works: .document-icon-wrapper { text-align: center !important }

but the following in dg css settings doesn’t, all gallery icons being left aligned. Have I missed something?

    <div class=”center”>[dg category=”Colour Walk”]</div>)
    .center .document-icon-wrapper { text-align: center !important }

    Thanks Dan

Thanks Dan, the one-liner does it for this task and I will play around with the individual wrappers later today.

Thank you very much. You have 5 stars from me ??

And another big thank you for this code.

I am sorry Mike, 100% my fault. I had another PDF plugin activated for some forgotten reason. Turned it off and all is well.

    My sincere apologies,

The original problem is fixed so I will mark it resolved, with much gratitude for the prompt and effective support.

    Again, a PS

The links in the table of contents (TOC) are based on H3 and H4 formatting. With the shorter document the H3 links work as expected but the H4 links don’t work. In the longer document none of the links work.

If I replaced the the TOC plugin with id and href links would that make a difference? I guess I shall try it and see what happens.

    Many thanks Lewis,

Yes, the table is not ‘pretty’ but the content is roughly where it should be. I might restructure that section so that there is clear vertical separation between what was in different cells of the table. The horizontal separation is fine.

I changed the setting in the wp-config.php as you suggested (it seemed the easiest option)and that worked fine.

I also added some text to appear below the PDF icon:
“Click the PDF icon to download the file.
Be patient! It is a large file and can take almost
a minute before the save file dialog box opens.”

Ideally I would have a message that popped up when the PDF icon was clicked but that is beyond my current skills – I am still learning what the various css selectors are … ??

Again, thank you for a very useful plugin and the support to go with it.

    Hakim
