The test page looks perfect in Chrome and Edge Chromium

I’d like to see the choice to add padding at the top and bottom.
When the displayed result has a dark background on a light colored page there is no top margin and it looks a bit harsh (for lack of a better term).

Here is an example. Top is the current result.
Bottom picture is what I’d like it to look like with a margin.

What code language to you have selected?
I don’t get that problem when I select plain text or HTML.

Paste your url into a text editor like Notepad. Make sure that you are only pasting the text that you want and not the entire code that is displaying.

Can you get syntax highlighter to work with any other text or is it just your example that causes a problem?

I figured it out.
Global > Post List Design > Select Layout
Change this to Alternate thumbnails layout.

Not the most intuitive wording for the alternate. “List layout” would make more sense to me.

That looks like a nice plugin but I’m trying to remove exactly what that does.
I have two servers, the old server, made with Customizr has a simple list of posts on the home page. That is what I want.
The new server has the graphical list. I don’t see any setting to change this.
