Thanks for your efforts. I finally found a plug-in, “Default Sort Ascend” that works great. So now I have posts in ascending order inside the monthly Archives on the Sidebar. I would like to reverse the order of the archive months and year as well. I have been searching for something like that as a plug-in, but to no avail. I assume that I may need to add some line of code to the sidebar.php file but hesitate to do that without guidance.

I have an archive.php file in 2011 that has nothing like the code described in the link you provided. Any additional help would be appreciated.

Thanks, it does look like the right path, the posts are four years old. Hopefully, 2011 has much the same code.
