Not certain if I explained myself above. In the “Page Attributes” section there is a “Template” area. I would like to have additional default templates to select from. IE. default1 ,default2, etc. Then I can have a widget specific to that template.
    Help appreciated.

    Seasons Greetings,

I use BackUpWordPress Plugin which does it all. Sends an email when back-up is ready. Easy to use.

    Seasons Greetings,
What I did is run my old html site and a WP installation side by side. I then added a Blog and new pages in the WP installation. Keeping the existing site maintains your listing in search engines. To see how I did it. please see Drachsi.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
I need a relational database that has a free members section, storing a number of different fields, and another section for suppliers, storing a range of fields. The suppliers can register for free, but must pay (PayPal) to access and search the members section for specific data, ie. town, etc. (max 4)

Can I buy a ready made installation, or must I create this myself?

Hi, I changed the “custom structure” ( /%category%/%postname% )to Default and that worked, but now I have /?p=703 and not the page name.

Hi, Made progress but now stopped. Dashboard works and I can go to the pages section. All the pages are listed. When I click view a page I get the error message “Not Found The requested URL /jobseekers-copy/blog-2-sidebars was not found on this server.” I can see the page content in the edit view.

Which is similar for each page. I then created a new page
“Permalink: https://localhost/jobseekers-copy/pete” and when I click view the error message is “Not Found The requested URL /jobseekers-copy/pete was not found on this server.”

Everything info is in the Dashboard, but I cannot view any page or post. If I type https://localhost/jobseekers-copy/ I can see the home page, clicking on any item comes up with the error. I then changed Theme to Twenty Eleven, same problem.

I guess somewhere there is a missing link between the WP and the DB?

Hope you can help guide me.

Hi, I looked at the code and yes you were right, it has links to a site that no longer exists.

If I ftp a copy of the site to my localhost, and then export a copy of the DB and then import that into the localhost, would that work? Is there anything I should know?

    Thanks for your support.

    Hi,

I had a look at the error file and some files are copied ie. Icon Post “Professional Framework” already exists.
Icon Post “Premium WordPress” already exists.
Icon Post “Full Documentation” already exists.
Icon Post “Fully Customizable” already exists.
Icon Post “Unlimited Colors” already exists. and some are not,

    Import WordPress
    Failed to import Media “activeden”
    Failed to import Media “audiojungle”
    Failed to import Media “codecanyon”
    Failed to import Media “03_photos”
    Failed to import Media “04_maps”
    Failed to import Media “08_settings”
    Failed to import Media “typography”
    Failed to import Media “colors”

It seems that the “Media” is not loading. Any ideas?

Hi, The site works ok, it is just the posting I have problems with. The link is Munich City Guide

This shows the posts, but if any post is clicked it does not load the full single post.

I have a test set-up that works at Jobseekers It would make sense if I could just copy over any faulty files, but which ones?

    Appreciate your interest.

I still have the loading problem with the Blog. I do have a test installation on another site that works. How can I find out where the problem is? Hope you can help?

There is no widget in the Inactive widgets section. My hosting company has re-installed a back-up from 19th, and is doing the same from a DB back-up. Is all widget stuff store in the DB?

I bought the Theme “Blocked” there is no support now, that stopped beginning of September a few days later after I bought it.

Yes agreed the menu is there, but I had another menu from a Widget, where does a Plugin widget store it’s information?

Thanks for helping locate that the problem is with the Theme. Can I just copy over files and folders from the original which worked, or is there a specific file/folder that I should use?

    Thanks in advance
