Have you set the correct nameservers at the hosting company?

Did wp give you a message at the bottom with a code to update your .htaccess file?

If you don’t have the database backup, you won’t be able to restore it – there is nothing to restore it from. If you do have it, you could ask your new host to do a restore.

Some themes such as Mystique have an easy way of doing this in the admin backend.

There’s a bug in the new version. Run through the forum, I think there’s fix by updating akismet of all things!

Works for me in Firefox. I haven’t got IE so I can’t tell you about that. Are you using the latest version of your browser? Have you cleared cache? Have you tried it in another browser or another computer?

Search the plugins, there is a forum plugin.

Never had a problem with auto upgrades before. Its always worked very well if you follow the step by step instructions.

Is it important? Changing the DNS likely changed the IP number too.

I am disappointed that I’ve made 6 posts for help since May 2007, and had no useful or helpful replies to any issues. I guess I will have to move away from wordpress if I can’t solve my problem this time.

Strange. Every post I’ve made here requesting help (4 only) have not been answered by anyone. Not very belpful to a non tech guy oike me.
