Same problem here but with a repetition of each sitemap (/sitemap_index.xml and /sitemap.xml).

I have indicated the good one (sitemap.xml?with the plugin XML Sitemap & Google News) on my Robots.txt, Search Console and WordPress settings. I don’t how to fix this issue, how to delate the second sitemap (/sitemap_index.xml). The bots don’t understand how to index the article. Any idea ?

Thank you for your return, but my problem concerns only meta title, not meta description. As explained, the name of my website (New Game Plus) is automacly add at the end of some article for no reason, I have desactivated the option on the settings. I don’t understand why it add the “- New Game Plus” at the end of the title.
