Ultimately got it working.

David, I am sorry for sounding bitter.

I spent substantial time configuring the folder ‘UpdraftPlus’ on the Google Drive, but did not succeed.

Your reply is reassuring. I shall try again.

I have used Updraft Plus before. UpdraftPlus being reliable it emboldens one to do web development without fear.

? forbidden: Forbidden

I have the error messages and logs.

I’ll get back to work again.

I finally realized that UpdraftPlus does backup restore on GoogleDrive ONLY for premium members.

The Google Drive Folder named “UpdraftPlus” cannot be edited. Folder with the same name on Googe drive does not store any backup files.

There is no way to use the code that comes after #folders/ even if one creates “UpdraftPlus” folder on the drive.

Meaning, unless you are a premium member you cannot use UpdraftPlus for Backup Restore on Google Drive.

Am I correct?

The persistent ERROR: invalid username was because my unique username had changed to default ‘admin’.

On fresh reinstall there were glitches. Patiently and systematically I worked and I got the site running.

Is it okay to delete the followiing files from phpMyAdmin before I reinstall
AIOWPS plugin?

_aiowps_events
_aiowps_failed_logins
_aiowps_global_meta
_aiowps_login_activity
_aiowps_login_lockdown

Thanks a lot for personally addressing the problem.

I deleted option_name called “aio_wp_security_configs”.

I did fresh reinstall. Yet, I am still logged out of the site.
I have cPanel and FTP access.
I have deleted all themes and plugins except the default ones.

Error:
The error_log says

UpdraftPlus is reliable (I have rated *****) plugin.
I haven’t used any other backup plugin.

I had no difficulty in UpdraftPlus configuration then. It was not an UpdraftPlus Premium plugin.

Am I making a mistake somewhere? Do I need to check something?

Is this what you mean David?

Google Drive Folder: This is NOT a folder name. It is an ID number internal to Google Drive –25-characters-
To be able to set a custom folder name, use UpdraftPlus Premium.

I did these settings

• Google Drive Client ID —- correct
• Goolge Drive Client Secret–correct
• but
  Google Drive Folder ——–‘doesn’t change’ this did not change

Message I get is:
Success: you have authenticated your Google Drive account.
then–

Backup Now One time backup
then–

Nothing happening? Follow this link for help. – – – I had no success with this.
then–

Last backup job run: Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.

Perhaps this means something error_log says:

[18-May-2014 05:40:26 UTC] PHP Warning: escapeshellarg() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/mydoctor/public_html/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/updraftplus.

Kindly guide me do accomplish backup with your plugin.

Hi,
With all plugins deactivated, with default theme twentyfourteen,
with the code that both, Esmi and Saravanan gave, I get the following error message.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mydoctor/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-customize-widgets.php on line 436

What does this mean? How do I resolve this?

I deleted & reinstalled wp-admin
Deactivated all plugins
I repeated instructions given above.

Deactivated plugin and all pages could be seen.

Clicking on categories does not pull the posts.
What should I be doing to get widgets and sidebar?
