Actually, it’s still going on and off. So, so weird. Sometimes the drop-down box will stay, sometimes it won’t. Any ideas??

Never mind! It just started working again! Weird.

Also, the sticky header when you start to scroll down gets hidden by those featured image placeholders. Like the sticky header isn’t staying at the front. The feature images are scrolling up over the sticky header.

Does anyone have any answers? All the share plugins I’ve tried pull text from a sidebar widget. I want it to pull text from the body of the post, or better yet, I’d like to define the text to be shared in each post/page. Can anyone help, please? You can see exactly what I am talking about if you go to my page https://www.DrawingSecretsRevealed.com.

It was a terrific way to say thank-you. I’m a firm believer that even with the scammers and jerks out there who give a bad name to internet marketers, there is a wealth of integrity to be found in the good people who don’t just want to get some money but want to contribute something valuable. It’s the driving principle behind my own work and I have been fortunate to meet many people who also share this goal. Just because you’re faceless on the Internet doesn’t mean you’re heartless.

Thanks for rewarding my faith in the human race, Camu. Keep up the good work. ??

Actually, Camu fixed it! Turned out it was something about my dashboard widgets being collapsed. He emailed me a new file to replace a file in my server and that did the trick!

Thank you so much, Camu! You are an awesome developer!!!

Well, I deactivated all the plugins then reinstalled. Then I reactivated all the plugins and the same problem happened. The SlimStat Dashboard Widgets were frozen. I tried deactivating all but the WP SlimStat and WP SlimStat Dashboard Widgets and still same problem.

Should I have tried deactivating all plugins, reinstalling, and THEN only activating the two plugins? Should I try it again, you think?

(Thanks for your help, by the way, Rondena. :))

If I did that (deactivate all plugins and reinstall WP), I wouldn’t lose anything, right? Since all the files are still on my hosting company’s database?

How do I reinstall WP? Do I just need to reinstall the latest one? Or a specific version?

    Thread Starter Nicole Parks

    (@drawingartinstruction)

Well that is interesting: I deactivated ALL my plugins and activated ONLY the WP SlimStat and SlimStat Dashboard Widget plugins. Same problem! They’re frozen on my dashboard! So it’s obviously not a plugin issue. Hmmm….

I do see Rondena identified it WAS a plugin after all. *sigh* Okay, gearing up my courage. My plugins are so interrelated I hope I don’t screw it up!

Thanks, Camu. How do I enable WP’s Debug Mode?

I’m looking on that thread you posted, but it seems the issues they’re having aren’t quite the same as mine. They do mention freezing of widgets, but it seems to be more that they can’t drag widgets out of the main pool of widgets and into the sidebar. I don’t have that problem. I haven’t finished reading the thread, though. I’ll keep reading.

The strange thing for me is that I use Graphene theme on several of my sites and I have SlimStat installed on all of them and the ONLY Dashboard Widgets that isn’t working right is on my main site (which is the site I really need stats on – the others are just for my own curiosity). So I can’t think it’s the theme for me because all the other sites have the same theme and those plugins. My main site does have a LOT more plugins, though, so the problem is probably there. I’m just hesitant to play with them because I really need those plugins.

    Hi, Camu –

Well, I had tried disabling them before but it had no effect on the Dashboard widgets. I’ll just keep an eye on my home page. I figured it was unlikely that it was this particular plugin issue.

What do you think about my Dashboard widgets being frozen? When you logged in as admin, did you do anything to fix it or it just happened to work?

Happy New Year to you, too!

Camu, I’m afraid it’s doing it again. And I find that since I started having this issue with the Dashboard widgets, my home page keeps going back to “recent posts” rather than a “static page.” Don’t know if it’s related but even though I keep changing it in my settings and saving the changes, it keeps going back. Any ideas?

Yes, I knew it wasn’t directed at me. I just wanted to put my two cents in.

Everything is peachy now – thanks so much!

And I would love to vote. How do I do that?
