In reply to: Password Reset not working after install/upgrade of 2.6.2Fixed mine, I think.
After trying a lot of stuff that did not work, I read a post that some plug-ins may prevent the log-in.
So I renamed my plugins folder to xplugins, cleared my cookies and tried logging in, this time with success. (Whoo-Hoo!)
Then I went immediately to the Plugins tab of the WordPress interface, and found errors (since it could find none of them), one of them being flagged was Akismet.old or something like that (maybe old.Akismet). I don’t remember if I changed the name (to keep the old one) or if Akismet did it when I installed. Anyway, I removed (deleted) the “old” one, then took the “x” out of the folder name (plugins) and tried logging in again.
Now it appears to be fine, and my plug-ins are working.

In reply to: Comments are in database, but says “No Comments” on most postsFortunately, I caught it in time and there was very little repair to do. It was indeed the upgrade to Spam Karma that caused the problem. I don’t know what people will do, though, if they don’t know how to manipulate a MySQL database. I would bet 95% of the WordPress users out there do NOT know how… I was feeling I was in dangerous territory just browsing my database…
Nevertheless, I appreciate having Spam Karma.

In reply to: “Pages” Not showing in SidebarNow I have a new problem.
There is a Page called “Client Endorsements” with a simple message “I welcome your comments” — But there are no links to leave comments! What have I done? Where would I change that?

In reply to: “Pages” Not showing in SidebarGeez. I never thought of that, and I don’t remember commenting them out, but apparently I did.
Thanks for solving the mystery.
I removed the commenting adn it works fine. I think I did that because originally my wife was going to have only an opening statement, and NOT blog, so I eliminated (apparently) the superfluous diaplays…
Now, go figure, she wants to blog. (And after all the times she’s asked me “What do you get out of blogging?”
“Duh!” on me.
Thanks so much!

In reply to: Making Header Background Image Clickable LinkHow do I convert the ‘onclick’ above to make the url refresh a site to the ‘_top” so that clicking the header image restarts the whole ‘frames” structure of my site:
www.darrowart.com/blog
? Normally, I just make a link that is<a href="https://www.Darrowart.com/blog" target="_top">
but I don’t know how to do this in a header… especially with the onclick thingForum: Plugins
