If this does overwhelm you then you can get someone to help you on Fiverr.com. I know WordPress but I have used Fiverr a few times when I got stuck.

I come to this forum with this problem on only one of many wordpress sites. How do I resolve this? How do I visit the APC configuration to cache tweak?

Bless it ALL !! I just went to do the steps as noted and the site works correctly without me doing anything
I can only guess that the actions taken on function.php yesterday finally resolved. Otherwise I do not have an explanation to offer the WP community on what did work

@keesiemeijer Thank you for the direction. I thought that the security key method was only a “before any incident” practice. But if it will clear any bugs by activating the security keys I will try it. But I will do the .htaccess and rolling off the plugins to see it that works first.

There are 23 websites I manage so far on my reseller account and all of them are wordpress installs

Thanks keesiemeijer I looked at the ref That allows more security yes but that is not my problem.

Somewhere there is a redirect order that tells the incoming visitor (new, old, even bot) to go to the login page. It does not EVER open the home URL That is what I need to correct

I do need help with this please This is not like the other problems I read where the admins cannot log in because I CAN log in and edit. The problem that any visitor that comes is directed to the login page too

Kostas This post was very helpful I did find the page attributes and clicked the Template dropdown and, sure enough for me, the one column option was there. The WordPress theme I used is from my Artisteer program.

I am now trying to upgrade WordPress 2.5 to 2.8.3
Following these directions:

1.Get the latest WordPress. Either download and extract it to your computer or download it directly to the server.
1.As a reminder, to extract a tar.gz to a folder use this command, replacing (folder name) with the name of your folder: tar -xvzf latest.tar.gz -C ./(folder name)

I tried to extract the tar.gz file using this syntaxe in the XP “run” command window:

tar -xvzf latest.tar.gz -C.\Wordpress Upgrade\wordpress-2.8.3.tar
and
tar -C:\Wordpress Upgrade\wordpress-2.8.3.tar.gz -C.\Wordpress Upgrade\wordpress-2.8.3.tar

with the tar file ina file located as C.\Wordpress Upgrade
I also have the wordpress 2.8.3 zip file there but when I try to use wizard to unzip, it says no files found to unzip

How do I upack either of these files? I know I may sound totally inept and I apologize for that but I do want to continue using WP

Seriuosly… you can so power up your marketing activity by putting up some raging videos on youtube and Yahoo and Google. in the video you could have your web link or ebay link streaming on the bottom and then finish with a fish aquarium still with your web links.
