Agreed. I have not received any responses to the many threads I have posted regarding this issue. I was in hopes the creator would have updated his plug-in with 3.5 but he had apparently has moved on and abandoned this widget. If anyone knows a great alternative, please let me know. I use this for 4 sites and am extremely disappointed. I know in the future I will have to choose plug-ins from more reliable sources.

Is there an update for the template (If you purchased one) for your website? Sometimes that could be the issue. I use custom sidebars on 4 different sites and am having no issues. btw, What is your website?

Have you deactivated your plugins (one by one) to see if this resolves your issue? This worked for me.

Thank you but the problem was not with custom sidebars, It was a error with the plug-in “Smart Slideshow Widget.”

Hello rubentrf, I myself and many others use the Smart Slideshow Widget. If I update my wordpress sites to 3.5, (which I’m being forced to by WordPress) my site are going to be broken. Are you going to be updating the Smart Slideshow Widget plugin? If so, please let me know. I would love to contribute $ for using it.

Thanks JWJones2 for the helpful information but it appears that is a java issue. I updated to WordPress 3.5 and now the plug-in works. But now my widgets won’t open/collapse. I deactivated the plug-in and now my site is back to normal. Hopefully this plug-in will be usable in the near future with WordPress 3.5

I have used this plug-in on three other sites (ex: https://www.belindasdesigns.net ? https://www.miamiinverted.com and https://www.t-houseonline.com)

I have created a third site: https://www.s-men.org. and I can’t get the plug-in or script to appear on the the page: https://www.s-men.org/about-us/

After spending severalhours and disabling other plug-ins and even deleting one, I can’t seem to resolve this issue. I believe is it something with javascript. Can someone please help. I am more thank willing (and past due) to donate to this great plug-in!

I figured it out! In order for Browser Blocker to block older IE programs,
typing just 8.0 did not work. You must put the latest updated version. So I put in 8.0.6001. 18702 and this worked!(this is located in IE, under the Help Menu/About Internet Explorer.

I updated to version 0.5.5 and now Browser Block no longer works on IE?
