In reply to: [GeneratePress] Problem with navigation [?] menuOK. I’ve removed the menu from the widget so I am only using the site default primary menu. That’ll do for now. Thanks, Graham

In reply to: [GeneratePress] Problem with navigation [?] menuWhen I do that it displays my “menu 1” at the top of the sidebar with its search icon, and my widget version below it. G
I am having the same problem. My understanding was that once widgets were in place in the Left Sidebar that they would override the defaults. However, the Primary Menu continues to display above the other widgets. How do I disable this? This is all in desktop view. Thanks.

In reply to: [WordPress Share Buttons Plugin – AddThis] Showing the wrong URL on FB sharesHello Julka
Thanks for getting back to me.
Unfortunately, I was working to a tight schedule and had to resolve it. So, I disabled Addthis and installed “AddToAny Share Buttons” which worked correctly.
The domain is “chateaudedurianne.com” but there’s a ‘master’/parent domain that is “chateaudedurianne.fr”. It was the latter that AddThis was finding and using when it shared to Facebook.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Handling of portrait imagesThank you. Both make sense and now I can update the galleries.
The other problem I am having is with the tiled display which appears to ignore edits to rotate images; https://gbw247.net/itdoesnt/urbane-architecture/
Any idea what I can do to rectify this?
Thanks again, Graham

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Handling of portrait imagesYes, I will do. However, I still can’t see how the numbers in the id field are allocated and how to add individual extra images to an existing gallery using them.
If you could point me to some documentation that explains that I will have a go at substituting them.
The only reason I have to go through the editor in the first place is because WordPress won’t allow the upload of RAW files.
Thanks, Graham

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Handling of portrait imagesThe images that have these problems have all been post-processed with SilkyPIX which is provided with the camera. I can’t see any way in which it has stripped any of the Metadata.
Thanks for your help.

The custom width is set to that too.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Handling of portrait imagesThanks. Done that. But, sadly, it hasn’t made any difference.
Any more ideas?

What is ‘correct’?
I have the medium setting at 300 max height and max width. I interpret this as meaning that an image will be scaled so that it is either/or but never greater than in either dimension.
