In reply to: [Loudness] Header width changedAt the end I made a completely new header and exchanged it in all templates. I only use additional CSS for different background and link hover colors on certain subpages. My coding skills are very limited. So I would not even know, what to enter to adress a certain block with CSS.
When I try to style the colomn block in the editor with by adding padding or margins or use a frame, then on desktop it looks a bit more centered, but then the mobile view gets ugly.
As said, it’s only a minor annoyance. I don’t want to slim the whole site, because when using featured images, I like that they are full width.

In reply to: [Loudness] Header width changedThanks for asking. With lots of trial and error, I managed to solve the header problem by myself. So I marked the case as resolved.
One minor thing I can’t get right: On single posts like this the three colums between content and footer – why are the more left aligned than the rest of the site? I don’t get it and can’t find a way to change it.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Syndication Links] Mastodon iconDo you use an uncommon instance, could that be the “problem”? Because for me, syndicating Mastodon links works just fine for showing the icon.

Hi Cyrill,
sorry for not answering. Got busy and had no time for my private website. My question is not so important, as to spam my WP backend with Yoast’s self-marketing. It’s a small blog with no need for all the heavy SEO stuff. I’d rather renounce to have a hidden feature as a link preview then. Thanks for taking care.
Best,
HendrikThanks for your answer, Cyrill. I use a bunch of indieweb plugins. Yoast is a huge plugin with an overwhelming mass of features. Do you know any leightweight alternatives? Would be great, if they have standard settings, so I don’t have to check dozens of boxes before each publishing.

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesHi Adam, thanks for investing time in my issues, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately, adding this did not change anything:
sup a { font-family: Rubik; font-size: 0.75em; font-color: #FF5C5B; background-color: none; text-decoration: none; }

In reply to: [Loudness] Responsive ImagesIndeed something is not right with my site. Normally I write directly in the WP backend (html view, classic editor), sometimes I use a markdown to write and copy to WP then, but I usually insert media and embeds last. Rarely I use WP’s iPhone, lately for testing. And now I see this:
While in my desktop backend, this draft looks like this:
The error happens at my static homepage as well:
I checked Jetpack again and the CDN really is disabled. My site uses a German hosting service for years, never had problems with it. https://www.df.eu/de/ But with switching to this new Loudness theme, Indieweb plugins don’t work properly: I have problems with IndieAuth, Webmintions, Micropub etc… The site does not work well with the Fediverse.

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesAnd regarding my original problem: Can I do something like?
When <link> contains <sup> tag, then { font: xy; font-size: 0.75em; font-color: #xxx; background-color: none; no underline; }
I don’t know how to write the exact code, but you get the idea – just style all the superscript numbers?

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesWhether I have the plugins activatated or not – the options menue looks like this (minus the “Switch to claasic editor” of course):
The Site Health Check recommends 4 improvements:
– Have a default theme available
– You should use a persistent object cache
– The authorization header is missing
– Page cache is not detected but the server response time is OK(Plus the “You should remove inactive plugins” one…)

In reply to: [Loudness] Responsive ImagesHi, I disabled both – the site accelerator (so image & static file load times not speeding up) and the lazy loading for images – but the problem persists, as you can see in my newest post.
Even more strange: I have no idea, how the photo in that post ended up there being square format – the original you can see here:

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesSure. What site do you need? Is this one okay? Or what should be selected?
I activated most plugins again, as it does not make a difference.

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesDeactivated all plugins, even Jetpack and Akismet. Then tried to activate only Gutenberg – in Block Editor it still looks like this.

In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesHi Adam.
I installed the Gutenberg plugin and it looks the same as before, whether I want to update an older page or write a new post. No visual building, no option to add blocks. The Block editor doesn’t let me select blocks.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Loudness] Responsive ImagesThanks. For example this older psot with images hosted elsewhere: https://drikkes.com/?p=12677
Posts with images uploaded via the WP app do not exist, because I deleted the pics and inserted them via web on the desktop again.
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Loudness] Link Style for FootnotesHi,
it’s mainly Jetpack, Akismet, Classic Editor and a bunch of Indieweb plugins – no Gutenberg.
