OK, bug submission just sent a few minutes ago.

Since I posted this, I completely removed super cache. I still got the same error with Total Cache.

Interestingly, even though it threw a fatal error, it seemed to activate anyway. But, several files and directories were not properly created even tho I had 777’d the wp-content directory. I was battling permissions issues badly.

Ended up removing it and going back to Super Cache. But, I’d like to get this worked out. So far, nothing but problems with Total Cache.

Update:

I de-activated all plug-ins and re-enabled one-by-one. The slowness has disappeared and I have 3 plug-ins that will not activate due to fatal errors:

– Popularity Contest
– aLinks
– WP_ContactForm (one I modified to use departments)

Looks like I’ll need to deal with these plug-ins.

Its not just the dashboard. Its every screen in the entire admin panel.
