In reply to: [Bible Reading Plans] Error after upgrading to PHP 8My test site (https://test-brp.saesolved.com/) uses PHP 8.3. The plugin seems to be working alright there. So, I’m unsure of what is causing that error.
Are you using the latest version of the plugin?
We haven’t forgotten you. I just have not had time to fully test the necessary changes before I post an update. Hopefully, I’ll be able to do so in the not distant future…

In reply to: [Bible Reading Plans] Daily Office Lectionary Without ApocryphaI think this can be done. I cannot, however, do it for at least a month. But I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
@rrmac55, we are very thankful your church is blessed by this plugin! May many continue to by blessed.

In reply to: [Bible Reading Plans] Leap year gremlins?Definitely Leap Year gremlins (or perhaps Leprechauns).
Looks like a bug in the Bible Reading Programs plugin. I’ll try to find and fix it quickly, but probably not before this Sadie Hawkins Day is over.So the result may not be seen before 2028. ??
In any case, I’ll let you know as soon as I’ve found and fixed the bug.

In reply to: [Bible Reading Plans] create bible reading plan premium pluginPlease accept my apologies for the long delay in answering this. As my colleague informed you, I was hospitalized. Then, while I was still recovering at home, my wife had to be hospitalized. Happily, I was well enough to take care of her when she got home. It has, however, taken me some time to get back to my work.
In addition, just before I was hospitalized, I discovered a bug in the Bible Reading Plans plugin which was causing the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin to effectively not work. So I wanted to fix that before responding to you. That bug is now fixed in Version 3.0 of the Bible Reading Plans plugin. And it is possible that that bug was causing you considerable confusion about how the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin worked.
However, to specifically address your questions:
The present version of the Create Bible Reading Plans and Bible Reading Plans plugins are not set up to handle multi-year plans. What you want, however, has been requested by others. I hope to make changes to these plugins to enable them to handle multi-year plans and am open to suggestions as to how to designate the different years. Perhaps it would be most convenient to use different forms for each year, e.g.
You could, however, implement a multi-year system by creating separate plans for each of the years and putting them on different pages in your site.
I have endeavored to put adequate explanations as to how to use the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin on the input page for the plugin. We can make them better if you can ask specific questions, which I can answer, then work that answer into the explanations.
I will add a note about the one-year license. That one year, however, only applies to the time in which you use to create one or more Bible Reading Plans. It does not apply to the plans themselves. You can use whatever plans you create in that one year forever. You need only to renew if you wish to create additional plans. And you can freely download any updates that occur during the initial year.
Finally, if you wish to ask for a refund of your purchase of the Create Bible Reading Plans plugin license, please do. Perhaps, after I’ve had time to implement the multi-year feature you hope to use, you could purchase a new license.

In reply to: [Bible Reading Plans] Calendar displays incorrect (Divi CSS-Issue)This sort of problem is best handled by overriding the styles in:
#datepicker { float: right; font-size: 0.7em; line-height: 1.0em; margin: 15px 0 5px 10px; }
and in the calendar, itself, with your own styles. Your theme likely provides a way to do this.
It is highly improbable that a set of styles could be created which would work for every theme.
I am very glad you’ve been able to get the plugin working. I’m increasing the timeout by 10 seconds in the next version. That might help the ABS to complete loading.
Unhappily, I learned yesterday that, while the DBP API provides audio for its translations in many, many languages, it does not have audio for any of its German translations. ??
I cannot repeat the error you report, even with TablePress activated. See Reported Timeout Error Test. That page uses exactly the shortcode you do: [bible-reading-plan source=”ABS” reading_plan=”mcheyne” version=”KJV-P”].
Are you certain that your ISP is not blocking the call to the API?
I will try to see what I can do to fix this tomorrow.
There also might be the possibility that your Internet Service Provider is blocking calls to the API.
