I myself wouldn’t trust vista. Any host that’s promising 300 gigs of hard drive space, the amount of a good sized server, for about $4 a month shouldn’t be trusted.

Costs me about $110 a month to run a server once you figure in bandwidth and support.

I get a broken SSL cert warning with ix every time I load a page.

edit: And ix is promising 500gigs of space. That’s even worse. Costs me about $200 for a 500 gig hard drive.

Need to explain some more please as to what you’re trying to do here. Where are these blogs? Are they on wp.com’s servers? Your own space? Are you trying to run the stats program?

You don’t I’m afraid. Those sites listed are either those blogs hosted on wp.com’s servers or ones hosted elsewhere that have the stat plugin added in.

What are you trying to get in there?

I’d do it by adding in a block to your robots.txt file.

User-agent: Googlebot
Disallow: /the-page-that-i-want-blocked/

Actually no, I haven’t seen the discussions. (Gone to look though) I signed off the wp-forums mail list months ago.

Gotta admit though that whitelisting those regulars who keep getting caught would be a good idea I would think.

To be honest though, I just feel that it’s one more way staff disrespects those trying to help out.

Just for reference, when you get an error, you need to post the specific error that you receive. Putting it in your own words is not a good idea as folks usually leave out the specifics that are needed to help.

It’s a file. You need to get with your host as we don’t know what you;re using for hosting software. You may already have a .htaccess file in place.

Best bet would be to kick around one of teh indexing sites like Technorati and see what folks are blogging about.
