Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m thrilled that the plugin helped you solve the WooCommerce variation image gallery and swatches issue—nothing makes me happier than hearing that it’s making a difference in your projects. Your comment really made my day!
Regarding your question about changing the
sviLigthgallery
icon to the standard magnifying glass for better UX, here’s a quick solution you can add to your theme’s Additional CSS section:css
Copiar código
/* Replace the sviLigthgallery icon with a magnifying glass */ span.sviLigthgallery { background-image: url('data:image/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns%3D%22http%3A//www.w3.org/2000/svg%22 viewBox%3D%220 0 24 24%22 fill%3D%22none%22 stroke%3D%22currentColor%22 stroke-width%3D%222%22 stroke-linecap%3D%22round%22 stroke-linejoin%3D%22round%22 class%3D%22feather feather-search%22%3E%3Ccircle cx%3D%2211%22 cy%3D%2211%22 r%3D%228%22%3E%3C/circle%3E%3Cline x1%3D%2221%22 y1%3D%2221%22 x2%3D%2216.65%22 y2%3D%2216.65%22%3E%3C/line%3E%3C/svg%3E') !important; background-position: center !important; background-size: contain !important; background-repeat: no-repeat !important; height: 20px !important; width: 20px !important; cursor: pointer !important; }
This will replace the current box with a magnifying glass icon to improve user experience. Let me know if you need further help with anything else, and thanks again for your support!
Keep rocking your web design journey!

In reply to: [Smart Variations Images & Swatches for WooCommerce] Swatches for colorHey,
It looks like the issue you’re encountering is on the backend.?
You can activate the swatches, but they won’t affect anything internally until you specify which attribute will use the swatch. By default, all attributes will behave as usual until configured otherwise.Cheers,

In reply to: [Smart Variations Images & Swatches for WooCommerce] Swatches Not DisplayingHi CoachDom,
Thank you for reaching out. It seems there’s a mix of global and custom attributes for color in your setup. SMart Variations Images relies on global attributes (like
attribute_pa_colour
) to consistently apply swatches across products. Custom attributes (likeattribute_colour
), defined at the product level, don’t support this because they vary in formatting and usage, which can lead to errors and performance issues. To ensure your swatches display correctly, please set Attribute is Taxonomy to
1
in your CSV imports to treat attributes as global. This method avoids the inconsistencies and technical challenges of matching custom to global attributes and maintains optimal site performance.Best regards,

In reply to: [Smart Variations Images & Swatches for WooCommerce] No Zoom on MobileHi CoachDom,
Thank you for your message and for considering our plugin for your shop!
I understand your concern about the zoom functionality on mobile devices. Currently, the lens zoom feature is disabled on mobile because users’ fingers often cover the image they want to view, making it difficult to see the zoomed-in details.
Instead, we recommend using the lightbox feature with pinch-to-zoom functionality. This method loads the full-size image, providing a much better zoom experience on mobile devices. Users can easily zoom in and out by pinching on the image without their fingers obstructing the view.
Best regards,
DavidThank you for reaching out and providing the error details. The warnings you’re seeing are related to the plugin attempting to access certain data that appears to be missing or improperly formatted.
Rest assured, these warnings are not critical errors and do not prevent your site from functioning. However, they may indicate that one or more product galleries have become corrupted, possibly due to a recent change or an incomplete save action.
To resolve this issue, I recommend the following steps:
- Identify the Recently Modified Products: Try to recall or check which products were recently updated or had changes made to their variations or images.
- Recreate the SVI Galleries: For each identified product, delete the existing galleries and recreate them from scratch. This should help in resetting any corrupted data associated with the variations.
- Save Changes Properly: Ensure that each step in updating the products is saved properly to avoid any data corruption.
These steps should help resolve the warnings you’re encountering. If the issue persists or you need further assistance, please let me know!

Determining Your Version:
Before we proceed, it’s important to clarify whether you’re using the Pro version or the standard version of SVI:
- If you’re using the Pro Version: The best place to find support and resources is directly on our website: smart-variations.com. This site offers detailed documentation, guides, and support specific to the Pro version.
- If you’re using the Standard Version: You can easily get started by following the steps below:
- Video Tutorial: We have a helpful YouTube video that walks you through the setup process: Watch the tutorial.
- SVI Options: All the SVI settings can be found under the WooCommerce menu in your WordPress dashboard. Simply navigate to WooCommerce > SVI to configure the plugin.
- Detailed Article: For additional help, check out this article: Getting Started with SVI. It covers the essentials and will guide you through the process.
If you’re unsure about which version you’re using or have any specific questions, feel free to ask. I’m here to assist you!
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns.
Regarding the Meta Details Transfer Issue:
The issue you’re experiencing with meta details not transferring into the gallery, impacting SEO and causing errors in SEMRush, is related to the import mechanism handled by WooCommerce. Unfortunately, this process is outside the scope of the SVI plugin, as SVI does not manage the import functionality. We recommend contacting WooCommerce support directly to address this matter.
Regarding WPML Compatibility:
SVI is fully compatible with WPML, the leading WordPress translation plugin. To ensure proper functionality, please note the following:
- Variation Translation: Ensure that product variations are fully translated in WPML. SVI relies on these translations to match the appropriate images to the correct variations.
- Standalone Product Editing: When editing a translatable standalone product, you have two options:
- No Gallery Creation: If you do not create a gallery for the translated product, SVI will automatically use images from the original product.
- New Gallery Creation: If you create a new gallery for the translated product, SVI will function based on the new gallery you set up.
If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. We’re here to help!

DavidHello,
Thank you for your patience. I apologize for the delayed response, as I am currently on holiday until the end of the week.
However, I have tested the functionality, and everything is working without any issues on my end.
Could you please try to replicate the issue on this site: https://svi.rosendo.pt/free?
I would also recommend running a debug to help identify the root cause of the problem.
Best regards,
DavidGreat to hear that.
Would really appreciate a review here on WordPress ??
cheers,
David
