Just wanted to say thinks for all you do. You all do a terrific job. It is greatly appreciated.
Hello, I saw this question a while back and I just thought of something.
I would like to see a profile page for visitors, where they can post profile information and favorite stories. It would be cool if they could contact other users on the site through the profiles as well. Thanks for listening!
I actually changed my URL a month ago. I checked with the host. They could find no issue. I deactivated all of my plugins except writeshare, The issue persisted.
-I tried the plain permalink change and the whole page went away. It was not just a 404 message. I am going to email you with more details if you don’t mind.
-I tried the post name option and I go the blank screen again.
– I tried three custom types
/archive/fanfic/%postname%/
/archive/%postname%/
/fanfic/%postname%/I also tried the sample post option. It did not work.
My “write” page is fine. There is some disconnect between the search page and the stories and I cannot figure out what it is.
I have learned this lesson for the last time. I am going to purchase a back up service.
I am going to email you. If you have time, can you look at the site?
Thanks in advance,
DrakeI tried:
idisf.com/fanfic
as well, nothing is working since I updated. The fiction shows up at:
idisf.com/archives/fanfic/story.Thanks!
The individual story pages work
https://idisf.com/archives/fanfic/storyHowever, the search page does not work.

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Issue not resolved – drop down menuFandom,
The writer who is complaining is posting from the front end.
This is not resolved. It is still just as broken as ever. The other writers use one-shots. It is no issue for them.
BTW: This is far from being resolved.

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Issue not resolved – drop down menuI just checked the site you sent me to. Halfway down the page, there is a story called losing it that is blank like some of my drop down menus.
Some work, others don’t.

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Issue not resolved – drop down menuWell, I finally got most of the drop down menus to work.
I have cut and pasted all of the titles in to make sure they are identical, but the menus for last chapters in the two books do not work. Only GOD knows why.I used this screenshot as a template,https://wpwriteshare.com/setup-instructions/fanfic-setup/ but my menus still would not work.
Finally, I changed the chapter taxonomy to chapters in all three boxes and and it worked…sort of.I have given hours to this today and one of my authors has given up entirely. I realize that this is beta, I just hope this helps someone else.

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Chapters drop down menu fails.I believe the array issue is a host or wordpress issue. It has been resolved. The issue with the drop down menu remains.
I made the changes you requested. It is still not working correctly.
Q: Do I need to set up the chapters in advance or does the author do this?
Currently, I am using code to link the chapters because the drop down menus is not functional.Q: Should I check any boxes for the book taxonomy?
Q: Is there a place where I can see a screenshot for the fanfiction backend settings?
I found a screenshot here.
https://wpwriteshare.com/setup-instructions/fanfic-setup/
It differs from your instructions in this thread. The instructions here work better, but the drop down menu shows only one chapter.Drake

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Chapters drop down menu fails. Now she says she cannot post at all. It says, “array is not owned by you.”
I will try your corrections and report back.
Update: it did not work. I checked the boxes as instructed and selected 1.I also did a test. When I tried to post a chapter. The title did not show up as it did before. This is very frustrating. I have the title listed in the book section on the back end.
Q: Do I need to add the chapter by numbers on the back end, or will the authors do this when they post?
I am just recruiting authors. I don’t want to lose them. Your prompt response is appreciated.

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Chapters drop down menu fails. Are you saying I should limit to one or I should not limit to one?
This is what I have:
Access blank Only admins and editors can add terms to this taxonomy
Exclusive X Terms in this taxonomy are exclusively owned by an author
Serial X Content in a term of this taxonomy can be ordered manually
Required X At least one term is required to be set by the author
Limit to Blank term(s) per content (leave blank or 0 for unlimited)Q: Is there supposed to be a link at the end of a chapter for the next chapter the way it worked with the previous archive?
Q: Is the drop down menu supposed to list all of the chapters as was the case with the previous archive?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [WriteShare Writing Community Platform] Login no longer worksHey,
I tried this again in a different browser. The login link still does not work. The only thing that differed from last night was the fact that I updated the plugin.
