i’m having the same issue…..please help us….

New install no plugins running and i have wordpress running on the root directory added a .htaccess file too.

happened after loading a picture to post…is it possible a virus becasue it has now happened on another similar site and also to a fresh install of wordpress.

No categories shows up on the main site for categories widget?

i tried the code above would not work either….

same issue here no super admin….

So far after setting permalinks…they seem to work as long as the site loads in as https://www.domain.com/index.php, but the landing page is just https://www.domain.com which generates the 404 message.

Knowing that some programmer can come up witha afix I’m sure… WordPress is not redirecting the site to https://www.domain.com/index.php when just the https://www.domain.com is loaded…

Someone please fix this issue…. Now I know whay I didn’t upgrade from 2.1 for a long time…this is messed up…..for us on IIS servers…

I want to go back to at least 2.6 with the category base and tag base at least worked…

I’m having a issue with the Perma links too, running on a windows server. 2.5 worked fine. Upgraded to 2.6 did the workaround of the entering tags, and that worked.

I installed 2.6.1 on a new domain before upgrading my other ones and the workaround for the tags does not work..

Anyone have a solution?

Ok went to the admin tried to login, checked the wordpress template footer where it shows the meta login or logoff link…
It was showing logoff. So I logged off and went back to admin and logged in and it works again…

Use a template with a login footer, if not get one that does or add the code in. Theres no need to modify files or paths if you use this method.

sorry if this was a duplicate I just read the last 2 pages on this due to the limited time I had to spend trying to fix this issue. So if this fix is a duplicate i apolagize.

Having same issue here on a clean install of a new site. Everything was working fine until I turned off permalinks, then went in and turned it back on.

Now wehn logging in I get directed back to the main page. Will not let me in to the control panel…
I renamed the instant upgrade plugin and still will not let me in…

Help.

Ok eveybody I was able to fix my thumbnail issue by disabling the plugin that was activated called ShiftThis | Thumbnail Size 1.0 Change the default thumbnail size for WordPress thumbnails. By ShiftThis.net.

I guess I will let that developer know about the blank page.

I also get a blank page on the insert media when clickingon thumbnail insert to a post.
