In reply to: [Flexible Map] WPML, string translation, 'From' and 'Get Directions'?Thanks Ross. I’ve done that now.
I’m a fluent native Welsh speaker, so 100% confident.
#1:
‘From’ in Welsh is ‘O’, ‘o’, pronounced as the *O* in ‘*O*n’ – “from the bus station” -> “O yr orsaf bws”.
Meaning of ‘O’ is determined by context, From me to you, From him, from there … of course, but I added:
‘From’ | ‘Teithio o’ (Traveling from).
The context is certain, of course – but ‘Traveling from: Cardiff‘ – ‘Teithio o: Caerdydd’ – is a clearer statement in Welsh, IMO.
‘O’ – such a lonely thing.
#2:
I’ve added – ‘Get directions’ as ‘Cyfarwyddiadau teithio’ (‘Traveling directions’).
Hope this is OK.
Thanks Ross, much appreciated.
Cheers

Thanks. No problems otherwise. Works great… Much appreciated. Thanks again. Cheers.
…
Sure thing. I’ve had to move onto tried and tested (but not necessarily better) solutions – but seems the path of least resistance is there.
I hope to revisit the plugin soon to learn anew.
All the best

Hi, thanks…
Sure, 2 plugins I’ll revisit so I can learn more from them – but, I wish I was a man of leisure, rather focused to the point of rude bluntness.
I’ll take on board your reply and try again soon.
Great plugin, appreciated much.
Sincerely
Dylan
Hi
Sorry, focused elsewhere, uahh, but thanks again for your offer to look at these in more detail. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to revisit soon.
Sincerely
Thanks For your help.
Wish I could have been more considerate, and less urgent in my manner – but my back’s against the wall, so I had to decide without assuming you would kindly correct said notices.
All the best
Peace

Update:
I did a test on a clean installation using just WPML Multilingual CMS.
I made two pages, two posts (4 in total, 2 English, 2 Welsh).
I created a new Sidebar, named ‘Hello World Posts’ > Update > success.
Then I edited the same Sidebar name ‘Hello World Posts ENG’ > Update > debug:
Notice: Undefined index: yoast_wpseo_opengraph-title in /homepages/xx/xxx/htdocs/123/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-opengraph-admin.php on line 119
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /homepages/xx/xxx/htdocs/ctdptwo/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-opengraph-admin.php:119) in /homepages/xx/xxx/htdocs/123/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1179
I went < Back, and the Sidebar name had been updated: ‘Hello World Posts ENG’.
—————————–
I added a Condition Group:
Post > Hello World 2
Language > English> Update
Debug: exactly the same.
I went < Back, and those values within the Group for ‘Hello World Posts ENG’ were present, they saved.
Added a Latest by category for English > success.
————————————
I added a 2nd Condition Group to said Sidebar:
Post > Hello World 2 CY
Language > Welsh> Update
Debug: exactly the same.
I went back < Back, and Post > ‘Hello World 2 CY’ wasn’t present, i.e. was not saved, seemingly. I removed this Group, Update > same debug output.
UPDATE: I accessed this ‘…. 2 CY’ Group, and it contained:
Post > Hello World 2 CY
Language > WelshSo! I did save…
————————————
I added a new Sidebar:
‘Hello World Posts CY’ > Update > success.I added a new Condition Group:
Post > Hello World 2 CY
Language > Welsh> Update > exactly the same debug output.
I went to Widgets, ‘Hello World Posts CY’ appeared alongside ‘Hello World Posts’ (blue border-top)
I added the same Latest by category for Welsh(CY) > success.
END—————
Except for my own learning curve with proper configuration of sidebar per language, i.e.
I added a new Condition Group:
Post > Hello World 2 CY
Language > Welshwhich I believe was the wrong way of going about it, I should not have added a post, just language, and let the widget take care connecting language…(??)
However, not sure what more I can say about the Yoast SEO related debug…
I really hope this helps….
