no I re-uploaded the key after you said you wiped the data I only reset the data on finding the hacked data to wipe it. I am using the same key given to me when I purchased after you said you wiped it for me. The key is still valid I purchased a 12 months license key on march the 27th.

@vova Feldman Wait! I have premium license Vova. I recently updated my key via your settings on rating-widget to wipe the data after a hack. Has this caused my premium key to be downgraded?

Ah you just updated, thanks. Just to inform anyone else the title length options are in the widget options.

I found a line in rating-widget that has an effect on this widget in rating-widget.php on line 4388

I changed it from

$short = (mb_strlen($title) > 30) ? trim(mb_substr($title, 0, 30)) . "..." : $title;

to

$short = (mb_strlen($title) > 30) ? trim(mb_substr($title, 0, 70)) . "" : $title;

I had to remove the … because even though the title was being displayed in full in some long titles the … was still showing so I had to remove it.

This is now resolved.

awww what a shame, I was looking for a replacement for dev4press’s quote feature from the GD bbpress toolbox which tends to quote html behind the post of the person you are quoting. I’ll keep my eye on this, I hope it gets fixed.

Any news on this? My ratings are still showing insane ratings left by whatever hack is being used to rate them up so I had to remove the widget from the website. If I could make a suggestion, I highly recommend a captcha like a simple math question (like captcha plugin) when anyone clicks to rate anything as this would stop any automated rating hacks in it’s tracks. The big problem I have is, as I said earlier, with the ratings hosted elsewhere I can’t find out who is doing it because I have access to no such logs.

The email I posted was one advertised on rating-widget site as a contact email. I didn’t realise this would cause problems, sorry.

Don’t suppose you can get in contact with me. You should have my email address if you can find my website in your ratings. I have to know how they are somehow rating up the series by thousands even after I blocked non members from doing it. I can’t stop it from happening because we don’t host the ratings therefore we cannot look at logs to find which IP addresses are doing this.

so I reset and it got a new key itself (don’t know if this is a premium key) Anyway it hasn’t reset at all. it got a new key but all the ratings are still the same. How do I fix this, at this rate I will have to remove the whole widget because buying a new key is not something I am willing to do.

I realise now that search for a page title is reserved and I also noticed I need a search.php to display results. This is now resolved.

Nevermind, it turns out it was a module that was missing in my php so I went into cpanel’s WHM went to easyapache and installed it.
