Thankyou – what I am trying to achieve though is to get the user to navigate to my passwored setup page with their username and email address populated. I can do this OK but I need to include the key in my url.

Thankyou. This isn’t the right solution for me but thanks for the reply. It is a shame as being able to access the key before sending out the notification would be immensely useful.

Thanks for the reply but it needs to be conditional based on MYVALUE so will need to be targeted in JQuery.

The thing I have always struggled with in WordPress is relating individual custom posts to users. I have created a custom post to extend the data recorded on the user profile (compliance data etc) and that works OK but it isn’t really scalable.

I have created a couple of separate custom posts to record other details such as qualifications, medical details etc and these are related by virtue of the fact that the user is the Author.

Just feels like there should be a better way of doing it. Be good to be able to create a custom post, related to the user account and accessible via a link from there.

Basically the customer will physically come for an appointment (it is actually a form of lesson) and will have an hour slot; only the first slot is ever booked in Amelia (although we can add future slots in if we want). At the end of the first appointment they will book the next slot.

So at the end of the first appointment they will have, in this example, ￡270 left on account and can have 9 more lessons (in fact they could do part hours e.g. 1 hour 15 mins and they will be charged for the part hour also).

What I need to do is record the fact that their account balance has now been reduced by ￡30. I know I could do this by adding a custom post type in, linked t their user account in some way, but I was wondering whether there is a better way to achieve what I need.

I have resolved this issue now; thanks for your help. It was user error in the end!!

I was thinking I could use the posts archive widget on a normal page and use Ele Custom Skin to show all custom posts. Basically I wanted to show more than one set of custom posts on a single page but this doesn’t seem possible.

At least I have it working so I can go from here!!

UPDATE: – I think I have now got rid of the unwanted header and footer but I still can’t see any data. The only data I seem to see is any field that has default data in it. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Culd it be the conditions? I am setting this to ‘Pages’ > ‘All’

Hi this isn’t quite the same issue.

I see the Preview Section on the back end but not on the front end so I am not concerned about that.

The main issue is that I see an ‘Edit’ button on the top of the page and a link back to an archive or a single at the bottom of the page (both front and back end). This may be something to do with the i-max theme but not sure.

The second signifiicant issue is I can see the custom post data when I am in the back end designing the page but I see nothing at the front end.

Grateful for any help that can be offered??

Thanks – possibly a better longer term solution but for now would like to try and manage with custom posts. I am assuming this is possible but I need a push in the right direction if anyone can add anything further?
