In theme. I just rename to “Real Name” and it works. The captcha will stop some canned posts. Most of the spammers are too lazy and looking for easy way. I understand that this will not stop all of them, but at least some. Thanks.

Well, I rename the url field in comments.php and that solved some of the problems. Some of the guests were using the website url as form of spam advertising. I want only genuine comments. That will keep some of the spammers away. Thank you all for help. The captcha that I put for comments should restrict some too.

The other question I have regarding comments. The guest have ti fill up 3 fields:username,e-mail and home page url. The home page url is linked to username. How do I unlink the home page url or remove that field?. Thanks.

The problem that I see with this plug in – it will put the comment into spam, but still will send me e-mail and will have to pay for it. I do not want to shut the web site access to spammers, but I do not want them to be able to post a comments.
That kind of plug in I am looking for. Thank you.

In 2 days, I had over 1000 spam comments. I set the e-mail notification when new comment is posted for moderation. My mail box was flooded. I would like to keep the e-mail notification. The other option I have is to edit the access and add IP to so they will see 403. I am looking for a way to restrict access to comments base on blacklisted IP`s.
