To make the plugin compatible with the most themes (and other plugins), I adopted the use of get_the_post_thumbnail_url.

get_the_post_thumbnail_url($post->ID, 'thumbnail')

In this update, I have not yet resolved that issue, but I will investigate and see what I can do.
