    RavanH,
I never said that I was checking the sitemaps using URL Inspection tool. When you run a check for any page (excluding sitemaps of course) there are 3 sections on that page in the coverage area namely DISCOVERY, CRAWL and INDEXING. In the discovery section there are always sitemaps listed in which that particular page is mentioned. So when I talked to you I meant the discovery section. Your sitemaps are listed there for 5-6 hours and then they are dropped off from the discovery section when you re-run the inspection tool. It would have been easier if I could send you a screenshot so we can understand each other better.

To answer your first question. There are no errors listed there that could have affected the issue I have described.

    Hi RavanH,
Sitemaps are listed in the Search Console. When the sitemaps are updated everything is working fine for 5-6 hours. After that, when you run the URL inspection Tool for any individual page the discovery section lists N/A for sitemaps and there are no sitemaps listed there. They were listed there for 5-6 hours and then they are simply gone. When you go to sitemap section of the Search Console and re-submit the sitemaps and then re-run the URL inspection tool again then the sitemaps would appear again and stay this way for the next 5-6 hours after which they would be dropped again. I have tested 3 other sitemap plugins and in each case the sitemaps are always shown when the URL tool is run. At the same time I can confirm that everything was working fine up until July and the issue is isolated to Google Search console.

    Hi RavanH,
I would appreciate if you can reply after reading my two latest post replies. Thank you.

    Hi victoros,
I finally got the answers from WordPress about this issue. It is my understanding that they have recently applied an update to their library and how the files are encoded/processed. After this update I am having issues while adding videos using your widget. They are suggesting that if the player supports HLS streaming formats then I should replace .mp4 with .master.m3u8 therefore providing playlist to the player instead of the raw .mp4 file.
I don’t think it is possible with your widget and I have tested the idea with another plugin that is using the same player. I got the error saying that the file format is not supported.

This is basically where we are at this moment. Looking forward for your suggestions. You can also contact WordPress for more details so the solution can be implemented in the near future.

    Hi RavanH,
Just letting you know that I have tested another plugin along with this one. That plugin’s sitemaps were not dropped as well. So we are talking about 2 other sitemap generators that I have tested and in each case those sitemaps were not dropped and they haven’t disappeared after certain amount of time.
I don’t know why but your sitemaps are disappearing while sitemaps created by other plugins aren’t. This is something to think about and I wanted to share my experience. Some issues started to come up after Google’s end of June update that was supposed to target only spam. Not sure if it’s somehow connected but I wanted to let you know that I experienced crawling/indexing issues and then disappearance of your sitemaps when individual pages were checked using URL inspection tool. Everything ran smoothly before Google’s update.

    Hi RavanH,
I have tried what you have suggested and I can now confirm that it didn’t have any effect. Sitemaps are still disappearing.

I have also been testing for the past several weeks Jetpack’s sitemaps along with sitemaps generated by your plugin. I have disabled Jetpack’s sitemaps but they are still showing up when I test pages using URL inspection tool. They were never dropped. It is a very interesting technical issue.

    Hello again RavaH,
Have you had a chance to check my sitemap? I don’t see any issues but the problem inside Google Search Console still persists.

    Hi,
You may disregard the issue reported since I’ve already found and disabled the conflicting plugin. Your program now works as it has been working before.

Thank you for such a great plugin.

    tsteur,
The data was finally updated in the category “visits overview”. It was probably connected to the initial issue. Right now I can say that all the issues previously reported have cleared.
    Thank you for your help!

    tsteur,
One part of the problem cleared on itself and the system is now registering visitors in real time. The graph is being present but the area “visits overview” is featuring zeroes in each category which is not right. Not sure why there is an issue with updating that information there.

    tsteur,
I guess it was too early for me to report that everything is OK. The graph area was fixed but the Matomo is no longer registering any visitors even in real time. All the fields are showing 0 while there are visitors based on Jetpack’s stats. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    @tsteur,
I tried one more time and this time I replaced the whole file. It worked. The error is gone and the graph is finally visible.
    Thank you for your help!

    tsteur,
I tried to make a change you mentioned and after that change my real time statistics crashed as well. I had to remove the plugin and re-install it again so I could have at least real time statistics. Yes, my site is on wordpress.com just like I said.

I will not try any other fixes for the time being. Hopefully this issue will be fixed someday.
My only question: is this issue isolated one?

    Thread Starter duts2020

    (@duts2020)

    tsteur,
I first noticed this error on August 6th. I can see all the information before that date.
I was simply checking my stats and the area “visits over time” still showing exactly the same error. The area “Visits overview” is showing zeroes in each category. I am still able to see the real time visits. So the issue is isolated to those two areas.
I applied your fix and saved that file. Then I went to check the end result, but I am still seeing “WP DB Error: [1173] This table type requires a primary key SQL: CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE wp_matomo_logtmpsegment61cf2c66075809150e7c503f11993813 (idvisit BIGINT(10) UNSIGNED NOT NULL)”. Very strange indeed. I can send you screenshots if needed but you would have to provide your Email. Let me know if you need more details.
