In reply to: [LTI Tool] Creating SSO for LTI ToolHi Stephen, please pardon me as I’m trying out LTI integration for the first time. Let me describe the scenario :
I’m the LearnDash LMS (WordPress) installed with the LTI Tool plugin.
My counterpart (the LTI Platform) will have their users logged into them. Their users will access/click an “App” and they will be redirected to me (LTI Tool/LearnDash/WordPress). But they are not in a logged in state to access the content on my WordPress?
So how will my WordPress know the users are coming from LTI Platform so that the users are logged into my WordPress to access the courses on my LearnDash?

In reply to: [LTI Tool] Creating SSO for LTI ToolThanks Stephen. So to confirm, once the LTI integration (between my LTI Tool and counterpart’s LTI Platform), as long as users are logged into the LTI Platform, they will be considered authenticated when they come to my (LTI Tool’s) OIDC Login page ie. https://my_learndash_lms_url/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=ld_lti_tool_sso ?
This is because when a user is logged into the the LTI Platform and come to my LTI Tool’s Launch/Initiate Login URL ie. https://my_learndash_lms_url/?lti-tool – it is still not in a logged-in state in my LTI Tool (which is a LearnDash LMS) to access the content.

In reply to: [LTI Tool] Installing LTI Tool plugin will gives LTI Platforms menu?Hi Stephen, would like to follow up and clarify on the “OIDC Login URL” which essentially provides the actual SSO mechanism with the LTI Platform (Identity Provider; IdP) – is OAuth Single Sign On – SSO (OAuth Client) by miniOrange a good plugin that can achieve this?
P.S. Realised this thread is marked as resolved; will start a new thread on this.- This reply was modified 1 year, 5 months ago by Will.

In reply to: [LTI Connector for LearnDash] LTI Connector for LearnDash not working?Hi Stephen, thank you for your reply. Really looking forward to make this whole LTI integration work! ????

In reply to: [LTI Connector for LearnDash] LTI Connector for LearnDash not working?Right, so when I installed/activated this plugin, there’s no additional menu created in Dashboard > LearnDash LMS menu? Is there any setting we’d need to set? I turned to Bard/ChatGPT and Bard somehow replied that this plugin only works for LearnDash version 3.0.64 .. not too sure if it’s hallucinating though. Or maybe this plugin just need to be activated (with pre-requisite that the LTI Tool plugin is activated) without any setting? Please advise.

In reply to: [LTI Tool] Installing LTI Tool plugin will gives LTI Platforms menu?HI Stephen, greatly appreciate your detailed explanation. Many thanks!
P.S. I’ve got another thread some time ago for LTI Connector for LearnDash plugin – https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/lti-connector-for-learndash-not-working/ – wonder if you could take a look ????

In reply to: [LTI Tool] Installing LTI Tool plugin will gives LTI Platforms menu?Hi Stephen, thanks for the affirmation. Make sense ??
Btw, my counterpart – the LTI Provider needs : (1) OIDC Login URL, (2) Default Launch URL, (3) Deep Linking URL (if applicable) and (4) Public Key – so that that can pass me the LTI Platform details ie. Platform ID, Client ID etc.
Is (1) and (2) above the same? As in it’s the “Launch URL, Initiate Login URL, Redirection URI, Dynamic Registration URL:?” that ends with /?lti-tool?
And (4) is actually the Public Keyset URL /?lti-tool&keys?
Thank you in advance.@ idarek
Thanks in advance for you help. Will be glad if it works.
Here’s my scenario :
My WP ROOT DOMAIN is https://HubSTORE.sg which is using WooCommerce with a vendor’s page https://hubstore.sg/vendors/PainCart/
My vendor wanted to map his domain PainCart.com (USED DOMAIN) to the above vendor page. So that when visitors go to paincart.com, it will show the vendor’s page (https://hubstore.sg/vendors/PainCart/) but URL on visitors’ browser still displaying USED DOMAIN paincart.com.
Is this possible?
?? Unfortunately, I’ve missed the FAQ on its incompatibility of this plugin to WooCommerce. I’m trying to set USED DOMAIN to a shop page in WP ROOT DOMAIN. Too bad then.
Yes Matt,
So how exactly do we point the USED DOMAIN to WP ROOT DOMAIN? (which is my original question)
From https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/multiple-domain-mapping-on-single-site/installation/ .. I understand and have done 1.1 Creating A-Record pointing to IP of WP ROOT DOMAIN.
1.2 In your hosting environment, you must configure all domains to point into the same directory as your main domain <– how do you do that in cPanel?
Here’s my steps :
1. cPanel > Domains > Parked Domains > Add Domain > add USED DOMAIN
2. Manage Redirection > pointing to WP ROOT DOMAIN
3. WP ROOT DOMAIN Dashboard > Tools > Multidomain –> Nice upgrade ?? >
4. Settings > $_SERVER[“HTTP_HOST”] > Save Changes
5. Mappings > set up used domain <=> original URI ie. /pages
When I go to USED DOMAIN at browser, it redirects to WP ROOT DOMAIN and auto redirect to the original URI /pages.
However, I got 2 questions :
1. I originally thought the URL at browser will remain at USED DOMAIN (also known as masked to USED DOMAIN) – but it redirects and URL displays ie. wprootdomain.com/pages instead. Is is possible to mask at USED DOMAIN though browser is displaying the original URI?
2. If that’s the case, why not just set up redirection directly at domain registrar ie. NameCheap?

Hi Matthias,
Got distracted by work. Anyway, I was still stuck at “square one” – how exactly to point USED DOMAIN to WP ROOT DOMAIN.
I’m kindda lost after installing/activating the plugin. Will try out the alias method as suggested by Pothi – so is this the way?
Hi Pothi, thanks for your help.
Here’s what I do :
In NameCheap, I just set custom nameservers of USED DOMAIN to that of my hosting where USED DOMAIN is an addon domain on the cPanel.
WP ROOT DOMAIN is also another addon domain on the same cPanel which is a WordPress installation where MDMoSS plugin is installed.
So using the Advanced DNS Zone Editor (in cPanel), how to point USED DOMAIN to WP ROOT DOMAIN? Is it:
a) Create A-Record with USED DOMAIN pointing to cPanel’s IP? (but this IP address, though shared, is for MAIN ROOT DOMAIN)
b) Just use cPanel > Domain > Redirect > to redirect USED DOMAIN to WP ROOT DOMAIN?
c) or …?- This reply was modified 8 years, 1 month ago by Will.

In reply to: Network plugins only accesible to super adminHi Colegota,
Know this thread has been a while, but could you share what you meant by “… but it works … can access it’s own config menus”.
Do you mean although you can’t see the plugin (nor its menu in dashboard), you can still use the plugin? How?
Best Regards, William
