Hey Cavor,
First I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding to you here in the forum. Unfortunately with the information you provided and for us to dig deeper into this problem (it sounds like the issue stems from the access token or lack thereof) I will need to request plugin information from you.
Because the information needed may requires submitting the access token, then for privacy reasons I am going to ask that you submit a support request directly through our support page here.
Additionally please add your plugin’s system info in your support request. To obtain this information go to your:
WordPress DashBoard > Facebook Feed > Settings > Support (tabbed page).
Select all text in the “System Info” by clicking in the box, copy and then paste the ‘System Info’ into your reply. Also, if you are using the Free version of the plugin then be sure to select that version by using the dropdown arrow in the “Plugin Version” field on the support page form.
I will await your support request through our normal Facebook support page link provided above. Please mention that you had submitted a request in this forum so I can give the support ticket you submit through our Support page link high priority and again I apologize for the long response delay. In the meantime I hope your evening is going great.

In reply to: [Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed – Easy Social Feeds Plugin] Use in widgetHey William,
Yes, it is possible to add a feed display to a sidebar, page content area, or a footer.
To add a feed to the sidebar you would go to your WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets > add a Text widget to the sidebar and then add the shortcode for your feed display to the Text widget.

Hey Supernaut15,
This would not be possible with the Custom Facebook Feed due to the way Facebook has the API structured to obtain data.
However, it would be possible to set up an Instagram “hashtag feed” which would allow you to specify a hashtag in your data query through the Instagram API. Instagram would then search their entire database and return images across all Instagram accounts that contain that hashtag back to the feed on your site.
To create an Instagram hashtag feed you would need to have the connected Instagram account to be have a “business profile” which is easy to set up by following the instructions in this FAQ here and here.
If you have additional questions please let us know.

Hey yesyeah,
While I would love to help you further I must ask that you contact us through our support page here as www.ads-software.com intends this forum to be used only for support with the Free version of our plugin.
Although the fix will most likely be similar, we do not wish to violate the forum rules as it relates to Free vs. paid plugins as developers are to have a separate mechanism to support plugins they sell.
We look forward to hearing from you through our normal channel of support at the link provided above.
Hey Phil,
Thank you for the update. Please clear your browser cache for those two browsers and if the problem still persists then let us know as we can dig deeper if needed. In the meantime I hope your weekend is going great.
Hey gokh,
You are most welcome. If you have any other questions please reach out to us here: https://smashballoon.com/contact/
Hey gokh,
Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry. Unfortunately this is not a feature of the free version where you can select the number of columns to use for a mobile display but rather is only available for the Pro version instead. If you have questions about that feature or other features found in our Pro version please contact us at https://smashballoon.com/contact/ and we will be happy to answer them for you. In the meantime I hope your weekend is going great.
Hey Geer36,
Thank you for the update and I am happy to hear you have found the underlying source of the problem. If you encounter other issues please let us know as we are happy to help when needed. In the meantime I hope you have a great upcoming New Year.
Hey Lalaloo,
Any account ID and/or access token that is entered in the plugin settings are deleted along with the plugin. Both the ID and access token are issued by the Social media entity that you are obtaining data from hence the reason you have to log into the social media account to get one.
Smash Balloon does not know, keep, or have access to any access token for your account. When you obtain an access token you are essentially requesting this info directly from the Social media entity and then entering into the plugin so when an API call is made to the Social media the access token is passed from the plugin settings to the social media source along with the data request.
If the access token is correct for the account then access to the account is given and the requested data is returned to the website where the plugin is installed and further managed for a feed display by the installed plugin.
If you have additional questions please let me know. In the meantime I hope your week is going great.
Hey Chris,
Thank you for reaching out for assistance. Please send your plugin’s “System Info” which will help us better troubleshoot this issue for you. To obtain this information go to:
WordPress DashBoard – Instagram Feed – Settings – Support (tabbed page).
Select all text in the “System Info” by clicking in the box, copy and then paste the ‘System Info’ into your reply.Due to the nature of some of the information that the plugin system info might contain I ask that you submit this support request to us through this link here. Just mention that you contacted us through this forum support and provide a brief description of the issue along with the requested plugin system info report.
I look forward to assisting your through our support link provided above. Thank you.
Hey Chocoopanda,
Just to clarify… were you successful in deleting the Instagram-feed folder under the plugins section within your Wamp installation? The issue you initially describe sounds like a conflict with the recent WordPress version update. Let me know and then we can work forward from that point.

In reply to: [Custom Twitter Feeds - A Tweets Widget or X Feed Widget] Feeds Not workingHey Salvagemind,
We would be happy to look into this issue for you. However, to do so would require that we review the current plugin System Info which allows us to review any plugin settings issues and narrow down the source of the underlying issue further. Since this is public forum and your plugin’s System Information may contain private data please submit a support request through our Support page here.
Also include your plugin’s System Info with your support request which can be obtained by going to your:
WordPress DashBoard -Twitter Feeds – Settings – Support (tabbed page).
Select all text in the “System Info” by clicking in the box, copy and then paste the ‘System Info’ into your reply.Thank you.
Hey DaK888,
I am just checking back with you as I have not seen a support request come through for the issue you requested help with but it is quite possible it came through under a different email/name than used here.
If you are still seeking help then let me know and also let me know which email the support request was submitted under through the provided support link above as I am happy to assist if still needed.
