Me again. Does the google html code have .html on the end of it? Do I include that in the box on the SEO Framwork Plugin?

Also I found my verification codes once but I can’t find them again. Do you know how to find them? I am in a circle, only seeing either instructions for how to verify or getting to the page that says I am already verified. Can’t find the actual code. Thanks.

Just putting this here in case someone else has this confusion. I finally worked it out, though I feel my original question was misunderstood. I know that images can be indexed even if they are not in the sitemap. However, I still wanted them OUT of my sitemap.

There is a checkbox in AIOSEO that asks if you want to have images listed in the sitemap or not. I said NO. Nonetheless, my images (thousands) were still showing up in a list in my sitemap. FOUR directories of images.

I finally realized that the reason this was happening was that I had checked the box to include “attachments” in another section called Post Types. Apparently that overrides the Yes/No image button.

I was never confused that things could be indexed with or without the sitemap listings. I wanted my sitemap images links gone, and they finally are.

There are thousands of photos in my sitemap. There are at least 4 folders of attachments. Yes, I have that many pictures! Can you tell me why AIOSEO is not at all preventing them from being listed in the SITEMAP?

I understand they may still get indexed if they are not in the sitemap, but I still want them out of the sitemap. AIOSEO says it does that and there is a check box for it. I have had the box checked for years, yet my photos still appear in my Sitemap created by AIOSEO.

Would the tags be hidden if my blog is disabled with a plugin that disables my whole blog? I am using the plugin Disable Blog. What I am doing is making a spreadsheet/Tablepress table using output from the tags, but then hiding everything associated with the blog. The only thing people will see is the Tablepress Table of the info, which has already been exported from the blog. Acutally, it looks like it hides the tags as well as posts etc.

Maybe I solved my own problem. The plugin seems to disable tags and things too! If you have any other thoughts I would love to hear them. Thank you.

Thanks. I thought it was a problem that people are trying to get into our site. There are repetitive attempts from certain addresses. Why is it not a problem? Don’t they ever get in eventually? We have good passwords, CDN, 2FA, and security system from our host, but couldn’t someone still get in? I block all of them and in some cases, entire countries.

I figured it out – admin can do it but no one else can. Yay.

Please confirm PDA can do this, with the SAME images:

• Images visible if they’re loaded as part of another content (post, table, etc.)
• Images not visible if a visitor tries to access them directly
