Thank you for the response. I am beginning to understand the plugins logic. Hopefully it will be compatible with the way my site is set up, but from the description it seems like it is more tailored towards businesses who only deliver within a certain city, whereas mine needs to be able to display global shipping options as well as local pickup and delivery options. I’ll try to describe it below. I appreciate you taking the time to look into this.
My shipping options are filtered based on location and in some cases by postal code. For example, my local options as far as shipping are concerned within city limits are postal options provided by a third-party plug-in, as well as a free shipping option that currently serves as my pickup option, and also a flat rate option which is a citywide courier. From the sound of things it is not possible to display all of these alongside this plugin?
another issue is that I provide global shipping options, so it is not as simple as a binary toggle between pickup or local delivery options for me. The issue came to my attention because I had a customer from Australia attempting to make an order and they were unable to see any shipping options. So this also seems like it would be an enduring problem with the way that the plug-in is set up.
When the switch is changed from “Delivery” to “Pickup”, it removes all shipping methods that are not “Local pickup” shipping methods.
This makes sense – except that it seems to also be blocking my flat rate courier option for locals which is set up through woocommerce itself, and it is definitely blocking postal options for locals which I would like to retain.
When its switched to “Delivery” it removes all shipping methods that are not “flat rate” or “free shipping”.
This would not be as much of an issue if I were able to somehow limit the scope of the plug-in to people who are local within my delivery area (ie, being able to set the plugins functionality to a specific shipping zone), however if I have to choose between pick up or delivery for global customers that doesn’t seem like it’s going to work. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the feedback I’ve received so far is that global customers cannot see any options with this plug-in enabled and I don’t know if there is a way to filter the plugins scope so that it only affects local customers.
Can you send a screenshot of the shipping methods on your website?
gladly, attaching a screenshot of my shipping zones and a screenshot of shipping methods for my local zone which seems to be the most applicable to this plugins function. Apologies for the formatting.
I’ve managed to sort my issue with some digging, just adding some info that I didn’t see here. In my case it was a Really Simple SSL Pro setting that was the culprit.
Doesn’t look resolved to me, but I am also in the same boat. My error message is Error reference: 179743876/intermittent.
There is a jetpack debug tool here that can test whether the xmlrpc connection is working:
https://jptools.wordpress.com/debug/
Automatic support elsewhere indicates the following:
“It seems like there is a misbehaving bit of code somewhere in your site that’s impacting yourxmlrpc.php
. Here’s what it looks like currently:?As you can see, there’s a blank page, which suggests that some plugin, theme, or your
wp-config.php
file has extra blankspace before the first “<?php” in the file.
This problem is another symptom of a more common problem: the “Headers already sent” problem. You can find more information on that?here.
Can you check your?wp-config.php
?file, theme files, and plugins for that whitespace? As mentioned in the document linked above, you will need FTP access.
Once you’ve fixed the whitespace issue, your?xmlrpc.php
?(https://_YOUR_URL_/wp/xmlrpc.php?for=jetpack) should look exactly like this:There’s a message saying?
XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only
. That’s the correct message.”There is a bunch of info here on how to enable/disable xmlrpc at this link. i am just starting to investigate this though so proceed at your own risk.
https://www.greengeeks.ca/tutorials/how-to-enable-and-disable-xmlrpc-php-in-wordpress-and-why/
there’s a video here of someone troubleshooting this issue as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oebrip3wjo
Automatic support has suggested to disable plugins and change theme to a default and see if that solves the issue, and then go back to your theme, check again, and then enable plugins one by one, checking each time. What I didnt realize is you can use the xmlrpc url in the first support response to check at each stage instead of waiting for the problem to occur on its own. Could have been more clear but I suppose it is logical.
I am hoping this is due to some security plugin in my case, though I havent seen it yet, but wouldnt it be nice to actually get as much information as possible when you ask for support? Anyway…
Hopefully this helps, I am reconstructing my own house of cards over here, will report back if I find anything else useful.Forum: Reviews
In reply to: [WooCommerce Square] Inventory management is brokenThat quote about the system of Truth versus system of record is pretty much verbatim from a support ticket. I had noticed third-party changes to my inventory and didn’t have any other plugins that had that functionality, and a support person from WordPress told me specifically that even with woocommerce set as the system of record, that “Square is still regarded as the system of Truth”. So that’s where that comes from.
The inventory management hangs when creating new catalogs, when updating old catalogs, and the solution that I was offered through support tickets is that I should supply my credentials so that people can log in to my live site and see if they can figure out what is causing this behavior. It is obviously a server problem of some kind and hesitant to supply my credentials to my live site to any support people, since I seem to be talking to someone new every time the ticket gets updated.
Understand that that may be the easiest way for people to diagnose the problem but I would rather be provided with the plug-in that I know exists to diagnose the issue myself and provide logs rather than hand over credentials. Unfortunately this is where the support tickets that are opened always lead.
Is definitely not the expected behavior that the inventory would be affected even with the inventory syncing turned off, but that is my observation. With the plug-in disabled I don’t experience this issue. Nor do I experience the delays and hanging while I’m trying to change inventory on woocommerce as it attempts to fetch permission from Square to change inventory levels, even with WC set as the system of record.
All in all a frustrating integration. My comment stands, a stand alone payment gateway plugin would go a long way for those only needing that functionality.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Cant disable messenger in plugin settings anymore. This must have come about in the most recent update because I’ve been using it for months with messenger disabled, and it re-enabled itself. When it is turned off in the settings and settings are saved, the change does not persist. Hopefully that helps you track down what’s going on, me resetting my entire store and troubleshooting it on my end doesn’t seem like it’s going to address whatever is going on in the plugin itself.

In reply to: [Facebook for WooCommerce] Cant disable messenger in plugin settings anymore. Thanks for those links but unfortunately this is not worth the effort. The messenger portion of the plugin will not accept the checkbox being empty to prevent messenger from overriding my functional chat plugin. Many of the other problems are on Facebook’s side so getting this plugin working has diminishing returns at best. I can post my own links to my products, and noone ever looks at or buys products through Facebook. If this gets addressed by someone getting paid to make the plugin functional that’s great.
I have this also from a variety of third party plugins. Why would you make this change without a fallback to handle this cascading error?
Plugins I have identified to throw the error in addition to the paypal payment gateway plugin mentioned below:
facebook for woocommerce
woocommerce checkout addons
woocommerce cost of goods
WooCommerce Extra Product Sorting Options
Woocommerce order status manager
WooCommerce Product SKU Generator
WooCommerce SquareNot exactly insignificant oversights.
Thanks for reaching out and acknowledging the feedback. I have updated my review in light of your recent email.
Update: Solved this after searching for a bit – I will leave this here in case someone else has the same issue:
“`I found the solution myself, for Woocommerce Products:
table, ‘wp_usermeta’
meta_key, ‘edit_product_per_page’
meta_value, change to ’20’`”Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BLAZING Email Transfer Payment Gateway] Stopped Working@webwavesca Did it stop working after you did the last major upgrade? I have been using this as well and have not upgraded yet – I am wondering if I should delay until I find a plugin that is not looking to gouge 80 USD per year for the same functionality…
