OK – I’m working through different things.

The links are OK in FF and MS Edge but not in Chrome.

When I view the links via the Twenty Ten Child, the links looks are clickable.

I’d be happy to try that but the problem exists in Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo.

So it would seem like the problem is not search engine related but site related.
